I've been hearing about the diminishing bee population, and I am VERY alarmed by it! As most of you know by now, I have a real soft spot for bees, and recognize their importance.

I certainly hope that this trend can be turned around, and as quickly as possible.

By the way, bees aren't native to North America. It was the colonists who brought bees with them to the Americas. Just an interesting little factoid...!!!

I like bees too! They need to figure this out quickly. It's kind of ironic the Bee movie would be recently made by Jerry Seinfeld, maybe some people will get how important this is based on that movie!!

Wildflowers that Bees like:

Calendula, Shasta Daisy, Lance-Leaved Coreopsis, Plains Coreopsis, Purple Coneflower and Sweet William Catchfly.

I'm going to try to find some of these seed packets this weekend and plant a special flower spot just for Honey Bees!
