Victor summons his 3 kids to the ranch to announce that he and Sabrina are engaged to be married. Nick rolls his eyes. Victoria is speechless. Adam makes pleasant comments. Tense!
The redheaded magazine consultant tells Jack, Sharon and Phyllis that their first issue is horrible and the only way they can save it now it to dump Lily from the cover. Meanwhile, Lily is thrilled when Niki presents her with the magazine with her photo on the front.
Colleen is leaving for Shanghai for a 6 week work study programme. Adrian's book is dead, and as Colleen tells Lily, Adrian practically helped her pack. He's furious with her for ruining his life - no agent, no writing career, and probably no tenure, all thanks to her and dear old dad.
David continues to lie to Niki.
Outside the ranch, Nick and Victoria agree that their father would be an idiot if he doesn't make Sabrina sign a pre-nup.
David tells Brad he can't make a payment to him for the loan, then swears he isn't gambling. Brad plays dumb even though he knows the bookie got David to make a huge bet and will pay the guy $25,000 for his help in screwing David to the wall.
When alone, Adam tells Sabrina he isn't fooled by her. She calls him a jerk, he snarks back. (I'm beginning to like him a little now. I'm glad he's onto Sabrina!)
Nick's angry that Jack made the decision to change the cover while he was out at the ranch. Sharon goes to bat for Nick to Jack, but he's adamant that something had to be done immediately. Stuff about only one boss. Nick's sensitive because of Victor's running roughshod over him all those years.
Aha! Niki tells David she doesn't want to wait until August to get married, wants do it much sooner. He, of course, is thrilled, and unaware that she made this decision immediately after digesting Victor's news about his own engagement.
Next: Karen tearfully tells Neil that he wants Dru, and she's not Dru, never will be. Sounds like a permanent break up.
Victoria, at the ranch, says to Adam and Sabrina that she's SO happy to see those two making this place their own. She was being sarcastic.
Kevin tells Jana that there's something wrong with their sink. She says she's feeling really bad karma now.
