Hey everyone, what is new? Nothing here. I am going to go out today and scout for an outfit to wear underneath my cap and gown. I wanted to wear flip flops but Vinnie said no, then again he said to just wear tennis shoes. I kind of want to be a little more dressed up then that because I know lots of pictures will be taken. And I have lost enough weight that I am not sure what size I will fit into.
I also have to start getting the house ready because my sister and her little family will be here Memorial weekend. Can you guys believe that we are in the middle of May already?
What is everyone else up to today.. Moore how is the basement? Jessica hows the job, will you be able to post with us on occasion like Jojo can or are you going to be missing like Tess
Gabi has swimming lessons, then we usually have lunch. I have to hit some sort of grocery store and decide what to make for dinner for the next few nights.
we have soccer tonight, if the field isn't flooded.
Oh and I can't get into my AOL account at all, I wonder if someone tried hacking me.
I tried resetting my password to no avail.
I'm very upset, I am addicted to my email!

Shelly, for whatever it's worth, when Tony and Karin graduated, they too decided to wear flip flop type shoes, and WOW, did they ever regret it. In every picture we took, all that comes out is those toes staring at us. They both said soon afterwards that they really wished they''d just worn shoes that day.
I just got up!! I can not remember sleeping in past 11 like this, but then I sat up talking to Nick until 5 a.m., got the lowdown on how things fell apart with his gf in Oz. OMG, no wonder.
The contractor called 20 minutes ago and is on his way with the counter. Finally.
Shelly, get yourself something gorgeous to wear under that gown so you'll feel very glam! A little like wearing sexy underwear beneath one's jeans... (You didn't hear that, Brandon.)
The basement seems to be dry, for the most part, although we're going to have to address lingering dampness in individual items, such as suitcases. The heating company is coming this afternoon to figure out what's wrong with the furnace.
The owner of the landscape company that put in our patio hasn't called me back yet, and I've left two messages. If I don't hear back within a reasonable period of time, I think that I'll call the landscaping division, and ask if they can come out to give me an estimate on a patio. Once here, I'll tell them that the patio I need to address is the one that they already built which is causing me MASSIVE headaches (even though we still love the way it looks). Ought to get their attention!
KaeEll, I'm glad that you were able to find out what happened to Nick's romance. It's good for a mom to know these things, and you deserve to sleep in with all of the running around you've been doing lately.

I think I am going to get some sandals to wear underneath. I am hell bent and determined to keep this weather warm. So my toes will be showing but not as bad as if they were in flip flops. I might try and find some of those leather type sandals.
I found a brown dress that I might wear underneath. My cap and gown are black, so I am not sure.
I am having a great day, I am at this moment talking with two of my favorite people on messenger. Both of them are in Iraq. I spent several months with Jessica in Kuwait..apparently she didn't get enough because she got out of the Navy, joined the Army and is now back in the desert.
And my friend Bryan is also there for the second time. I haven't spoke to either one in awhile so this is cool for me...
First there was that less than thrilling Mother's Day, then the flooded basement, and now it appears that we need to replace both our heating and cooling systems.
AND, my girlfriend returned from Florida on Sunday, and just informed me that she's moving down there over the Fourth of July.
Our landscaper hasn't called me back either.

The contractor just left. The limestone counter is upside down in the middle of the family room with the sink glued in. He said he'd be back in the morning to install it. So now not only is Nick's bathroom out of commission, so is the family room. Geez.

I got a dress today, I have a wedding to attend Saturday. I hardly ever wear dresses anymore, should be interesting!
Also got 3 tops at TJ Maxx. I really didn't intend on spending money, but then I actually found some unique tops that I like. Of course that happens when I don't want to spend.
I guess it will be my gift to myself for putting up with this crazy family, who by the way all seemed to be having their own individual nervous break downs yesterday. Must have been a weird planetary alignment!!
Okay, so Jim and I met tonight with the heating/air conditioning guy, and we definitely have to have both systems replaced. So there goes $16,000-ish. Buh-bye... A really sexy way to spend that money! Kitchen on hold for a little longer??? At least it's mild weather down here right now so we can get by without both heat and air conditioning until the new systems are put in next week.
The GOOD news is that Arizona-daughter just called with this semester's GPA. Drum roll....... 3.67!!!
