Pretty Sunday morning

It's cool and breezy here today, but the day holds promise of sunshine and good weather for a change. Yesterday on my way home from taking my mother on a very productive shopping trip (4 new outfits, all on sale at Jones NY), there was a downpour so heavy that I pulled over on the side of the road until it passed. It was immense! Happy trees and grass, though.

We were up with the birds today. Ted's watching all the Hilary drama on his political TV shows, I've got the bed sheets in the wash, kids and parents all coming over for dinner, so I'll make a quick trip out to the IGA for fresh bread and veggies in a little while.

What's cookin' with you kids?

OMG, Ted just reported that Hilary is NOT out, she's still fighting! Some people just don't know when to call it a day!

We had an enormous storm here yesterday too, KaeEll. Fortunately, it didn't cause any flooding, and it cleared in time for us to sit out on our patio with my friend who is moving to Florida next month.

Jim and I just finished watching our usual "Sunday Morning"; I'm going out to my nephew's house this afternoon for a jewelry show that his wife is hosting. Don't quite know what it's about, or who all will be there, but it gives me a chance to see everyone!

I finished an Anne Perry novel a few days ago, and am about to finish another one today. She's a fun writer who places her mysteries in Victorian England. She has several series going, and I had read a number of those whose main characters are Thomas and Charlotte Pitt (great fun), but hadn't tried the series with Inspector William Monk. I decided to give it a try, and am enjoying it too. I'm about 3/4 through the book, and thought that I had the entire thing figured out when I was shocked by a twist that I NEVER saw coming. I love being blind-sided that way!!! The book is "A Breach of Promise", and the Thomas Pitt novel I finshed a few days ago was "Buckingham Palace Gardens" in which a prostitute is murdered inside of Buckingham Palace while The Prince of Wales is present.

She always creates interesting characters, and the descriptions of Victorian upper class society are great fun.

I'll give the Anne Perry novel a go, Moore. I love a good mystery especially with yummy twists.

Anyone go to see Sex and the City? A bunch of my lady pals went yesterday afternoon and they WON'T tell me what happens! Grrr. I couldn't go with them as I'd promised my mum the shopping trip. I don't know if I'll get to see it until it comes out on cable, so if anyone knows how it turns out, please scoop me.

Well, I haven't quite finished A BREACH OF PROMISE yet, KaeEll, but I think that you may like it. Interesting characters, good plot for the first 3/4 of it, and fun descriptions of upper class Victorian society.

Haven't seen Sex and the City, but my youngest daughter may have by now. One of her Christmas gifts (at her request) was the entire CD series with pink suede cover! LOL... It was expensive, even though I had found it on Amazon, but she SWORE that she'd watch every episode in the series before the movie was released. She accomplished this mission a few days ago.

Hi ladies!

It's shaping up to be a beautiful day here. We had some nasty rain and hail storms last week, and I'm just happy to see some sunshine.

I want to see Sex and the City badly! I was going to see it today, but I'm waiting until my trip to Michigan in a few weeks to see it with some girlfriends. I'm muy excited!

Moore, I looked at that same SATC box set you described, but it was a tad too expensive for a single mother, LOL. It's on my wish list though!

Hello ladies. Today is a pretty nice day here in Groton. Not cold not hot. Perfect weather. I think I may go lay in the bed and read something. We just got back from an after church lunch. It was fun. I always enjoy getting to visit with adults. Doesn't happen enough in my mind.

I really want to see Sex and the City. I have heard great things

Great Day here! slept in because I had major insomnia, then we went to church, ran errands then the water park. It's been 80 both days. Then we cooked out on the grill and I planted some more seeds...and watered

we have a horrible bunny problem, eating all my flowers and young bushes. I got some "liquid fence" today. It better work, we spent alot on our front landscaping.

We rented "PS I love you" - much better than I thought it would be
