Sabrina and Victor over breakfast, in pops Jana, down comes Adam, wedding yaps.
David tells person on phone he deposited funds yesterday, should be good to go. Niki arrives at the table, David lies to her about why he is so chipper.
Colleen is back, greets her father at GCAC, sits down for breakfast, breaks him the news she is getting a room there, NOT going back to Adrian's, and he doesn't even know she's back.
LOL!!! Gloria is a bag lady, stinky, messy, grosses out Jill, Kay and Niki at CL, Kevin throws her out. It was a dream. Funny!
Gloria arrives at CL to help Kevin out, pesters him for advice, drives him nuts.
Adam tells Victor he glad to see how happy he is. wnats to run some B of N stuff by him but Victor days nope, it's his baby now.
Sabrina recounts her family history to Adam. Her father was assassinated when she was 12, her mother sent her off to boarding school, hardly ever saw her, and that's why Victoria is so important to her.
Jill and Kay argue over Jill's decision to tank Victoria's plans for Jabot's new green line, in walks Niki. Strange little exchange as Niki says she wishes Sabrina and Victor the same kind of happiness she has found with David. Jill makes a little face as if she knows Niki's world will soon change.
Brad greets David, talks about David's big win in the horse race. Brad tries to entice him into a poker game, David says he's finished with gambling now, pays Brad the last bits of money he owed him. Victoria sees it!
Adam and Sabrina get along, have a few chuckles together over being newbie Newmans.
Adrian and Victoria share coffee at CL, friendly conversation. He tells her he and Colleen are estranged.
Yikes! Niki recalls how upset and shocked she was when her daughter told her of Victor's plans to marry Sabrina. Along comes Victor and Niki regains her composure, offers him a civilized best wishes. Strong foreboding!! Good scene.
Neil meets Victor for signatures at GCAC, talk about the honeymoon in France and another Dru mention. Adam espies them having a close conversation, eavesdrops as he hears Neil tell Victor Adam often leaps before he looks and needs supervision. Adam then butts in.
Cute scene in CL with Jana, Colleen and Kevin.
Gloria asks Katherine for a job at Jabot, please take her back.
Kevin hires Colleen to help at CL. Adrian sees her there, asks her why she didn't tell him she was coming home. Icy "HI" from her.
More Victor and Neil yap about how his kids don't accept Sabrina and how hard it is for HER. (Stupid Victor.)
David is back betting on horses, insists it has to be THAT horse, and he'll wire the money. Victoria catches him placing the bet, questions him about handing Brad a cheque. So of course, David LIES about it, but Victoria is suspicious.
Jill has a freaking FIT when Niki tells her she is about to rehire Gloria, and insists that they must do it HER way this time. Fine. David interrupts them, drags Niki off for her big surprise.
Neil tells Victoria how much he misses her at Newman, confides that he really can't stand Adam. Then she has a heart to heart with him about whether she should go to the wedding and he advises her to attend for Reed's sake. Hmm, maybe she should.
David takes blindfolded Niki to a stable full of horses. OH!! I guess he was buying her a horse, not betting on one this time. I take back all those "David's lying again" remarks, lol.
Kay tells Gloria she is rehired. Jill tells her there are new rules, less responsibility, lower pay - receptionist.
Adrian wants to move past what happened between him and Colleen, she says she can't. Break up for keeps. Poor Adrian!
Karen appears at Neil's door. She's back!
Niki's thrilled with her new horse, Athena. Love, love, love.
Victor gives Sabrina another present, a silver rattle for baby, the same kind she had given Reed. He says he believes that she and Victoria will be best friends again and Reed and their baby will be roommates. Kiss.
Next:
Gloria toasts with martinis, says "cheers" as Ashley asks Jack if he has lost his freaking mind, what is she doing there.
David asks Brad if he can be sure that he has his back.
Victor surprises Sabrina with a lavishly decorated something or another, a barn, maybe, for the reception? It's tables, candles, etc.
Shelly, I'm on Adrian's side in this. He gave her every opportunity to back down before the book was even written and she said over and over that she wanted him to write it. Then, at the very end, she had an attack of conscience, had her father dash the book deal, lost Adrian his tenure and his job at the university, changed his whole life. And he still wanted to do the work with her to repair their relationship! I didn't post what he said at the coffee shop, but he pleaded with her to try to work things out, and she whined that he treated her like a child. Well, she acted like one!!
Colleen didn't consider the ramifications of the story well enough in the first place, was acting out of anger and wanting revenge on her father when she agreed to help Adrian with the book. That's how a child behaves! Adrian saw that, and berated her appropriately, IMHO.
The real question for me is why on earth Adrian would have wanted to pursue a relationship with such a ditz. After that kind of betrayal, most people would have thrown in the towel.
