Cold and awkward moment between Victoria and her father at Indigo as she tells him she will NOT attend his wedding. Niki tells her she thinks she SHOULD go.
Colleen tries to blow off Adrian who wants to have a real conversation with her after she's off work. She says no, it's all done, it's over. Adrian's not impressed that she's doing the dumping when it's HE that had the cause. Adrian walks off. Lily enters CL, sees Colleen is upset. Hugs.
Neil's happy to see Karen there, what does this mean? She's not sure.
Gloria bursts into the main house for help taking the top off a bottle a bottle of gin for her martini. Ashley enters!
Colleen and Adrian talk about her break-up with Adrian, says deep down, Adrian doesn't see them as equals. Cane calls Lily from Indigo, come over, we'll have dinner. Chloe's there now, a little tipsy and flirtatious with Cane and Devon.
Victor and Sabrina crud, lovey-goo. (Shelly, I saw Soap Opera Digest in the grocery store yesterday - headline said Disaster at the Wedding under a pic of Sabrina and Victor. )
Abby and Ashley are in GC for the wedding. Kid's a flower girl. Ashley asks Jack if he's lost his friggin' mind having Gloria there. Jack winces. Then he answers that their dad wanted her taken care of. Ashley's furious, Sharon agrees.
Karen thinks she and Neil should concentrate on just being friends. He invited her to Victor's wedding tomorrow, but nope, that's too fast. Banter about the mixed messages they have been giving each other. She does, however, want her old job back at NE. Neil says no problem.
Victoria tells her mother she's steeped in guilt over the wedding. Talk of how happy she is with the now changed David.
Brad gives yet another try to entice David into gambling again. David says he's done with it after the Father's Day race, but one more thing - Victoria saw him hand Brad a cheque the other day, wants to be sure Brad will back him up on his story to her. Of course.
Victor takes Sabrina to the gallery, all decorated with candles and flowers as a surprise for her. Lots of lovey-dove cooing, happy, happy, happy for now and forever. (LOL, eh? *snort*)
(Geez - I wish Y&R didn't do this IRONIC stuff with such a heavy hand! We know David and Niki will crash as well as V&S. All this happy, happy, love, love is getting a bit much!!) Grrr.
Jack brings Ashley up to date on Gloria's donations, also says he's trying to do the right thing, do right by their father. Neither are over losing him. Hugs. Aww. poor Jack. He's so torn now about how he's going to handle Gloria since he promised Sharon she'd be gone from their home by the time Noah got back from camp. Good scene.
Gloria visits Kevin at CL, tells him about her new Jabot job and how she'll be back in that board room in no time.
Lily invites Colleen to move in with her and Devon - Chloe's gone.
Chloe's drunk as a loon at Indigo, sitting with Devon and Cane. Funny, sort of.
Yet more Victor and Sabrina gushing. Victor pontificates about how one should never turn one's back on family, never. He walked Victoria down the aisle when she married Brad, against his better judgement, expected the same from his daughter.
Niki makes one last pitch to Victoria to attend her father's wedding. Looks as if her argument actually got through to her daughter. Victoria smiles weakly.
Cane and Devon try to figure out what to do with Chloe. Colleen and Lily arrive at Indigo, see the guys and Karen with Neil, jump to the conclusion they are back together.
Ashley has a bit of a fit when she learns that Sharon is remodelling HER home.
Niki tells David that if she didn't dislike Sabrina so much she'd almost feel sorry for her (marrying Victor). Says she's not in the least upset Victor is remarrying, he's done that before, It would be nice to have him happy for a change.
Victor dwells on how he must have gone wrong with Nick and Victoria, but is so happy Sabrina is giving him another chance to be a father. He'd love to have 2 more children with her.
Cane finds Chloe a place to live in a friend's guest house by the lake under the condition she stay away from him. Chloe teeters off.
Sabrina tells Victor about her mother. After her father was killed, her mother was really messed up, tarted Sabrina up to look much older, took her to bars, passed her off as her little sister - no rich men would want a woman with a child. That's part of the reason she cut her mother out of her life. Dancing and kissing. Then a pretty montage of people at Indigo, Niki with David (who is in agony again over something on his blackberry), Chloe ogling Cane dancing with Lily, the Abbott's enjoying dinner together and laughing, Victoria hesitating at her father's doorway.
Zara, Sabrina's mother, shocks Victor and Sabrina when she appears at the ranch, just in time for the big day tomorrow.
Next:
Victoria tells Nick that tomorrow, when the minister says 'speak now, or forever hold your peace", that's when she will have her opportunity to tell everyone what she thinks of her dad and Sabrina.
Sabrina asks her mother how she could come there and ruin the most important day of her life.
David, obviously really upset, tells Niki that he has to tell her something. Niki asks, super concerned "what's happened?"
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's because it'll be the wedding and all hell will break loose!
I wish I could have seen what was on David's hand-held doo dad. I tried a few times but couldn't. He sent a message then buried his face in his hands. It looked as if he was ashamed of himself for what he had done. See if you can catch that tomorrow, okay?
The bit with Ashley getting all possessive about the old family homestead was a little odd, almost like she's coming back to Y&R and will move back in with Sharon and Jack. They talked quite a lot about how much missing they do of one another, Abby missing Brad and Noah, etc. I really hope she does so the Abbott family will be central again. But that might not be so great for Sharon and Jack, lol. Ashley can be a real pain in the butt at the best of times. Can't you just see Ashley trying to trump Sharon over household decisions and causing grief all around?
I haven't watched B&B in awhile either so I don't know what is going on with her character. I wouldn't mind having her back especially if like you said it brings the Abbotts back front burner. I also can't get enough of Jack. I like that he is trying to do right by Jack. Its an interesting change.
