Zara makes an issue about the groom seeing the bride on the day of the wedding - bad luck and all.
Brad sits down with Niki and David to discuss buying a factory in Turkey. I seemed as if he was baiting David somehow (a really smug expression on his face).
The Fisher Baldwins are checking out the new Indigo breakfast, chat with Neil about the wedding.
Paul sees Adam kissing Heather. They tell him they are ready to go public with their relationship as she is Adam's date for the wedding.
Nick and Phyllis - things are getting better for the magazine. Victoria drops in with some Jabot stuff, admits to having a really hard time deciding about attending the big event. Nick says he agrees with their mom, she should be there.
David thanks Brad for backing up his horse story in front of Niki.
Adam arrives at the ranch, gets an introduction to Zara.
Victoria obsesses about Sabrina and her father, is sick of being the one who is always expected to cave. Nick says he's attending for Summer's sake, not going would be a protest vote. That gives Victoria the idea to address the attendees with her opinion of her father and former best friend when the minister invites people to speak up or forever hold their peace. Nick grimaces.
Jill and Kay discuss how Victor's decision to marry such a young woman might be very problematic for some people, then it degenerates into personal snipes. Kay calls Niki to ask how she's doing. Niki is soooo glad she called.
More Baldwin Fishers at Indigo. Then Nick doing his best to give his sister advice - go to the wedding, don't get caught up in all the drama, live and let live. JT arrives to whisk Victoria and Reed off to a day at the beach if she'd like. Oh yes, perfect.
Zara and Sabrina chatting . Mother says Victoria and Victor will make up in time, just like they did. Sabrina realises her mother came to GC and her wedding to sniff out rich men for herself as she congratulates her daughter for landing such a HUGE fish, says she taught her well.
Victor tells Adam about his daughter Abby, then smugly gloats about how HAPPY he is now. They're in the barn where the ceremony is to take place. Pretty flowers.
Guests trickle into the barn. Jill spots Heather and Adam obviously on very friendly terms. She squints a disapproval.
Brad greets Abby and Ashley, asks her to come back to Jabot. Not just yet, He says how David and Niki, Victor and Sabrina are temporary - all part of the Niki and Victor dance. (That's about the first time I've ever liked what Brad has to say, lol.)
Kay meets Niki at the stable where Athena is boarded. Niki says she's happy with David, has no doubts about him any more. She trust him. Kay grunts.
Paul runs into David at GCAC, small talk. As Paul leaves, he sees David placing a call. David says "thank god you're there. I really need your help". It's his sponsor. David is desperate, nothing is working.
Lauren, Jana, Sabrina and Zara get ready for the wedding. Zara makes inappropriate remarks, pisses off the other ladies. Ashley and Abby arrive.
Nick, Phyllis and Summer arrive. Nick handles himself really well with both Victor and Adam. YAY, Nick.
David calls to book a flight to Las Vegas. He's in bad shape!
Zara berates Sabrina for having Jana as her m-of-h, what will people think. (Zara is a social climbing witch.) Sabrina threatens to have her escorted to the airport if she doesn't keep her mouth shut and behave herself.
Ashley and Victor have a nice little visit, minister comes to say they are ready to begin. Outside the barn, JT, Victoria and little Reed look on at the gathering.
sounds a little ho hum for what would be my friday episode
Yeah, so far, just filler stuff, but Zara is starting to show her true colours.
David asks Niki for a DIVORCE. He's leaving her. Niki is stunned!
The wedding begins and my DVR recording cut off. Darn Newfoundland starts the show at a few minutes past the hour, so I missed the ending. I'll record the Toronto 4:30 broadcast, shall report if anything spectacular happens. Gah. (I'm babysitting from 3 until 6 today.)
well the Niki part has me shocked..I shall get the SOD today to see if it says anything good. Wish we had a Raven for CBS. Though perhaps thats why we enjoy it so much because we don't know exactly what will happen.
Shelly, I think spoilers actually do wreck the enjoyment of the soaps to a large extent. I understand why people keep themselves "spoiler free" if they watch every day.
I had read that David asked Niki for a divorce, but I nearly fell over that he did it so fast!! He must be trying to "protect" her because he can not kick the gambling habit. Maybe? It's really out of the blue isn't it? Geez. Poor Niki. Talk about having a bad day.
Anyway, I have to leave now to get over to my son's place and help d-i-l with the kids until I pick up Ted from the subway. While dinner is in the oven, I'll skip through the 4:30 recording to the end, see if there's a bomb drop or anything, lol. Will let you know.
I played the last bits and nothing really. Victoria, JT and Reed seat themselves in the barn just before Sabrina arrives at the bottom of the aisle. Victor's all smiles when he sees them, Nick is pleased his sister decided to come.
Next:
The vows - Victor says he has fallen deeply in love with her.
Niki has a complete freaking fit over David's announcement he is leaving her, insists on talking to him.
Zara (the very bad news mother of the bride) phones someone, says she is at Victor Newman's wedding, has tons of pictures. What do they think they are worth.
