Sunday news

My crazy husband bought a puppy, and guess who gets all the work. I mean I love dogs and all, but needed this like a hole in the head

Gabi's recital went well, she was beautiful. But the whole program was too long

Ahhh, think about all the fun that the kids will have over the summer with the puppy. Puppy's are work, but they are worth it!

What kind of puppy, Tina? Puppies are so much fun, and you were concerned the kids might get bored this summer. Here's your answer!!

We tested the alarm on the clock this morning, set it to go off at 7, and it did. We've never had to use an alarm clock before, but getting up at 4:45 will be a new treat tomorrow morning. Today seems to be clicking by in slow motion.

Shelly, about your migraines - my dear friend Christine had the most debilitating ones for years until she got botox shots in her forehead and they were stopped dead. She didn't need the stuff for cosmetic reasons, so she looks no different, but now can enjoy life every day. Ask your doctor?

Good morning ladies!

Tina, I would love to get a pup for Jackson, but it's not practical in an apartment. It could work, as there are lots of dogs around in the complex already, but it would be extra hard work to take him downstairs to let him go potty, especially in the winter! So, we're going to get a cat instead. But not just any cat. My brother and sister in law are getting rid of their cats, and I told them I'd take Buzz for them. Buzz is the most loving one, and I was really attached to him when I lived there.

Kae, I rarely use alarm clocks myself. I seem to have an internal one. I only use them when I need to be up super early, like when I got up at 3:30 recently to make the big drive to Kansas.

Summer is a great time to get a new puppy because you don't have to worry about trying to train them in the snow! You don't have to bother with jackets, and boots -- and the kids can frolic with the puppy outside which will make ALL of them tired! Just don't let the puppy overheat...

I want to know what kind too! Honestly, it takes a puppy about 1-1/2 years to settle down (is it a female, by the way?) but after they're spayed or neutered at six months, they settle down a LITTLE bit.

Our Border Collie is going to be twelve this November, and she still thinks that she's a puppy. She ignores the fact that it's a little more difficult for her to get up the back stairs! Puppies may be a lot of work, but they reward you with unconditional love all the time.

It looks like you have a new best friend for the next twelve years, or so. That's good news!!!

KaeEll, that's a completely horrible time of morning to have to climb out of bed, especially for something that's causing a case of nerves.

Kae I just sent out another email to the church so you will be on all of our minds tomorrow. Please let us know as soon as you can that everything went well. Oh and thank you for the tip on the migraines. I was so sure that my headaches wouldn't be so bad after my surgery because usually my headaches are sinus related. I am also going to get my eyes checked. My MIL thought that might be an issue, makes sense. Since I started work whenever I took my glasses off I had to really readjust my eye sight. Not use to that.

Tina I am a little bit jealous, while I understand you not looking forward to all of the work I still want a puppy. I want a little beagle, or a puppy like the one Tess has. Mutts are good dogs. But I want a baby more so that's what I am going to get instead.

Me and Vinnie got notices in the mail for jury duty. The good news is its in Michigan and we don't have to do it. We just have to send these forms back. I need to get them filled out and in the mail tomorrow.

What were you all doing this weekend

what did I miss Kae, why are you getting up early and on Shelly's mind?

The puppy is half lab, half something I can't pronounce. Very sweet, but I've been picking up poop since early in the am and I was up listening to her whine at 2am. My husband finally went and let her sleep with him on the sofa.

I already have a dog that I love very much and three kids and house that is never clean.

I told my husband this is HIS dog, but I've already picked up all the poop and pee, fed her and given her baths. I'm exhausted!

I know it will be better when she's trained!

The kids kind of ignore her.... cry.gif

Our first dog together, and the best dog I ever had was half Lab, and half Border Collie.

Labs are very sweet, and I don't think you'll regret having her (him?). It's a little like kids: having one doesn't prevent you from loving a second one!

KaeEll's husband is having his surgery tomorrow morning, at the crack of dawn. That's why we're putting out those good thoughts and prayers.
