Good morning everyone! Well here we are, celebrating independence day! What's everyone's schedule?
I will be spending the day at my parents house, on a lake. All six of us kids families will be in attendance. My sister-in-law drove down last night with her three daughters, they are my brother Dennis' family, he is in Iraq.
I can't figure out this whole body clock thing. I should have been sleeping in this morning, instead at 3 am I was wide awake. I gave up trying to fall back asleep at 3:30, and got up. I have been productive this morning. I finished cutting up fruit, for a fruit salad, and my last batch of cookies are due out of the oven in a few minutes. I am also bringing a flag cake, so last night I baked that, and got the jello mix poured over it, and it has been in the fridge setting. I already whipped up the cream (I love my kitchen aid stand mixer, and the blueberries and strawberries are in the container, ready to got to mom's house. I'm not going to put the toppings on the cake until I get there. I think it may be a little bit to messy to attempt to transport all assembled.
Sabrina will be here this morning. She and her dogs are spending the night, and tomorrow we will be out shopping for her new condo.
Anyway, I hope that everyone has a wonderful, and safe holiday!
Happy holiday, my American friends. It's business as usual here today. Our little celebration was on Tuesday, making for a very short week.
It's the Friday routine again - nails, hair, lunch, and although it sounds like a luxury, it's just another chore at the end of the week. I'd really rather not, but my mother looks so forward to it every week.
Shelly, I'll run my Y&R recording later on this afternoon, report anything exciting, but after yesterday's big episode, I'd be surprised if there's anything really good for today.
Our annoying neighbours have left for a month in Europe. YAY!! Peace and quiet for a change. Now if they could take those morons across the street, the attention hounds with the whelps that holler as their regular voices, the people who have been renovating for 11 months and have a construction site in the front yard.....
Hi All! Happy Fourth!!! And a belated Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends.
My plans for today? Cleaning house. Yes, exciting I know. I'm getting up super, super, super early to drive to Sioux Falls, SD (about 7 hours from here) to go pick Jackson up. I'm so beyond excited. I have missed my boy so much. If we get back tomorrow early enough, we'll go to my brother's house for his fireworks show.
We didn't do much today. Saw a parade that the Town of Groton does every year. Its about 1-2 miles but lasts about 2 hours because they have so many different things. Will post some pictures later. I have decided that small town parades beat out big city parades any day
