Well it's Sunday already. It is another rainy morning here. We have pretty much had rain and overcast skies for the entire long weekend. On Friday the rain held off, but it was overcast and in the mid 60's for the day.
I don't have much on my agenda for the day. my lawn is in desperate need of mowing, but it does not look like it will really dry out. I am also in desperate need of a fill for my nails, so I need to get myself to the mall, so I can bond with Henry, my nail guy.
I spent last night playing with my 190 pictures from my parents house on the 4th. I finally loaded the software for my camera on the PC, and it's amazing what can be done to the pictures related to brightening them. I'll post a few of them in a separate thread.
It's another beautiful day here. Yesterday was perfect too - sunny, not too hot with a lovely breeze. It's about time, lol.
Not much going on here today either. My parents are coming for dinner again later - some sausages we picked up at the venison farmer's booth at the market yesterday morning, salad, fresh bread and birthday cake - Champ turns 7 tomorrow. Chloe was 7 last week but we didn't celebrate as Ted was still wobbly from surgery, so it'll be a double whammy today. I'd rather celebrate doggies' birthdays than people's - fewer expectations. And they are always so grateful for ice cream.
There's a half price sale on at Elte, nice furnishings store in town, so we'll mosey over there at noon, see if I can find a coffee table for the living room to replace one that I want to move downstairs.
Moore, remember that you told me about Verte Violette available at the Noor Boutique in the Four Seasons Hotel? They have had to order it in, BUT the chap said he believes it is on the endangered list and can't likely get it anymore - something about civet fixatives. I hate colognes with artificial bases - so cheap smelling, but it might be the way of the world to come. Drat!! Shall let you know. A thousand thanks again.
It's still rainy here too, and the neighborhood is very quiet this morning.
My girlfriend left early yesterday morning for her move to Florida, and made the trip in one day. I thought that she was NUTS to try that, but she said that she didn't feel comfortable parking her car overnight in a hotel lot since it was packed with stuff. She called from the road at about 8:00 pm, and sounded perky, so she was going to continue on. She had expected to arrived somewhere around 11:00 pm, and I realized when I went to bed that she hadn't called me upon her arrival, as instructed!
I have a lot to do, but can't muster the energy with the gloomy weather...
KaeEll, you might want to think about ordering your perfume directly from the website if your new pal can't get it for you. The may have some already designated for online ordering... Just a thought.
It's such a pain to find a scent you like, and then have it go away. This kind of thing always happens to me, though, whether it's perfume, some other product, or a TV show. If I like it, that's essentially the kiss of death! Just recently, I discovered that an air freshener I liked from Arm & Hammer has bitten the dust. I swear that I'm going to start ordering products by the case from now on, just to avoid being left without them at some future date. Unfortunately, that strategy wouldn't work well with perfume...

I know!! Just as I got thoroughly hooked on Vim's Thick Bleach, all Vim products were pulled and replaced by a Mr. Clean or Lysol product and I have to start from scratch all over again testing the darn things.
I'll try the website for my perfume. I told Frank from Noor that he had a couple of weeks before I'd give up on him, lol. He's a helpful sweetie, but no miracle worker.
Moore, did your friend make it to Sarasota in one piece? That's an awfully long drive. Of all the cities and towns in Florida I've visited, Sarasota is still my favourite - old Florida at it's finest. That is where she was going, non?
I spent all day yesterday driving across South Dakota and back. Uggh. I left around 3:30 a.m. and we made it home around 7:45 p.m. I do not want to do it again. But, I'm so glad to have my kiddo back home.
I went to Office Depot today too and finally bought a laptop. This computer is about to bite the dust, but I'll leave it up for Jackson to access Hotwheels.com and various other game and education sites.
I got so sick of finding a perfume I liked, and then it going bye-bye, that I gave up on perfume. I have a few scents that I dab on here and there, but I don't wear much of the stuff.
