Wednesday!

Well here we are at hump day! I am experiencing another lack of motivation morning. Yesterday, I was called into my bosses office, with three of the managers, we were talking about staffing, and trying to shift a few resources to our Nashville office. I was not able to get out of there until 6:15 pm. Ouch!

What is everyone up to today?

Sophia

Again, you're a crazy lady being up at this time of the morning. LOL.

Today, we may have yet another crappy day. Yesterday we broke a record of number of people waiting and longest wait time, so we got to work through lunch. Not fun.

Another wet day here. Mike is borrowing my car today to take his Kiwi friend down to Niagara for the day, and with a little luck, they won't be standing looking at the falls in yet another rain storm. This little gal is actually German, from Frankfurt, but she's now a permanent resident of Auckland, NZ, here for a visit. They'll come for dinner this Sunday, too.

The coffee table I bought at Bombay Company over the weekend is ready for pick up. The rejuvenation of the family room, from beer parlour to grown-up sitting room, is underway. Now if I could just get that bathroom finished. What's it been - 5 months now? Yep. Ridiculous.

That young landscaper guy I mentioned the other day is coming later today to look at the disaster on the east side of my house. He didn't seem put off that it wasn't going to be a huge job, was looking forward to doing something in town, rather than in the boonies where he is currently located. With all the rain we've been getting, it should be an easy job digging up all those damn raspberries and grape vines my kids thought would be so much fun to have. (Note: do not ever be tempted to plant those things in your gardens unless you don't mind setting up a raccoon diner.)

So I was right, working through lunch again today (and yes they do bring in food for us). It only took 11 minutes for us to get to 50 people waiting.... I really need a new job.

Bran, how many different things do you have to provide tech help for? Do you have a specialty?

Hey, at least they bring you food. It makes a big difference if the person we morons call for help is at least moderately cheerful. One grumpy crab on the end of the phone can really ruin a day. I know that works both ways. :)

Good morning everyone. I am here still in Phoenix. Its nice, hotter then all get out but nice. I branded myself on the car seat belt yesterday. The insides of cars get so hot here.

Anyways, this morning my aunt and uncle leave. This little reunion we came up with came out nice. It wasn't as big as we had all hoped but its nice. The ball game Monday was nice, though poor Vinnie because his Cubs lost. I guess thats what he gets for rooting against the home team.

Well I am off, I somehow managed to talk my mom into making biscuits and gravy. One of my favorites.

We do support for the company's products, just the standard security stuff: anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall, online backup, parental controls, etc. Nothing particularly special. We just happen to be FREE PHONE support. Not a lot of security companies have that. Normally it's online or the first thing they ask for when you call in is your credit card number.

We don't so we get much more volume of calls. Yeah it's pretty insane. 2 hours into being open, hour and a half wait, 100 people waiting in Q.

Hmmm Brandon..... I'm in eastern standard time, and I think that you are a few hours behind me, so I think you may be calling me crazy, when you are posting around the same time... wink.gifwink.gif

Well we had a rainy day here in Massachusetts. I did not manage to leave the office until 5:30, right after a band of thunder storm came through. The traffic was horrific! It took me 45 minutes to travel four miles, and the traffic reports were saying it was backed up for 30 miles. I hoped off of the highway and took the long way home, which made my commute only two hours.

Argh, I HATE traffic!
