Video of my daughter's ad campaign!

My oldest daughter works for an ad agency in Raleigh, and about six months ago her company was one of three that was being considered for an ad campaign for the North Carolina Aquariums.

My daughter pitched an idea to her company's powers that be, and they ended up going with it! It's very silly (typical of my daughter), but they wanted to show NCA that the company's employees "fully immerse themselves" into their ad campaigns.

Keep in mind that this video is NOT the ads that will run, but was the ad company's pitch to the client to select them over the other competitors.

My daughter wrote the script!

I was able to catch a glimpse or two of her at the very tail end of the video, so look carefully. There's one "blink your eyes or you'll miss it" glimpse of her at a conference table (her brown hair is in a pony tail, and her shirt is orange), and then there's a pretty good shot of her sitting at her computer (in the out-takes at the end). Her hair is still in that pony tail, she's wearing a white and red costume. You'll see... She's also briefly in an work-out clip, same hair, same costume, and in the middle of the group.

Oh, by the way -- they got the contract!!!

Thanks, KaeEll.

She's rather proud of the product, and the nice part is that they got the contract! They also got a little local press on it:

Ad companies go all out

"Very creative, quirky, and cute". Hmmm... I think that may describe my daughter as well as the ad! LOL...!!!

Nice press piece, too! Isn't it the world's best feeling, that kind of pride we have in our kids?

Yesterday while the hygienist was scraping away at my teeth, i asked her if she had kids, and she said "not yet, I'm a bit afraid to". I told her it was just the first 5 years or so that a parent's job was keeping the child from death, and the next 55 years worrying about them. I should have told her about the pride, that irreplaceable emotion a parent can have. It makes all the rest of the stuff vanish in an instant.

Wow, that was wonderful! Incredibly creative, and it really looks like they have fun there. I'll bet that she loves her job! You have every right to be a very proud mom!

Thank you for all the nice comments!

Yes, she loves her job, and she loves the creative atmosphere. She gets to go to work in her jeans, but usually adds a cute top, and heels. On some days, anyway. On other days, it's jeans with with casual tops and casual shoes.

This was a bit of a feather in her cap because she's not an ad exec, but she wrote the script, and the company got the client. The fact that the creative approach to landing a client is now getting local press makes her feel very good!
