Sunny, sticky Sunday

The bed sheets are in the wash, I've had my coffee, now it's time to go outside and wash down the patio furniture in the off chance the rain stays away long enough for us to have dinner out there. Here's hoping.... With 7 of us here tonight, inside dinner will mean a leaf in the table, that spells a table cloth, that means fussing, all that = work. Uck. I'd rather not.

I picked up some of that wonderful fig, balsamic and maple syrup marinade yesterday, dumped the whole bottle on some chicken breasts with the juice of a couple of lemons and a dash of sesame oil. That, a big salad and some yummy, nutty little summer potatoes will be dinner, and something decadent from the bakery for dessert. Mike loves cannolis, so if I get over there early enough, I might snag the last few of them.

Shelly, where are you now? Back in Connecticut yet? Y&R has been so exciting lately!! Spoilers I've read have lots of OMG's in them! Did you read about Skye's fate? Yikes!!

Is that marinade in a bottle

I'm just getting ready for camping, seems like a two-day project. We are taking the puppy to someone's house while we're away. Glad for that.

Can't believe how much stuff we are trying to cram into my mini-van. But I enjoyed our last trip and this time the blueberries are ready to be picked. Going to set out a huge bowl full for the party!

Love the beaches too.

That marinade sounds delicious!!! I never order food items online, but I'd order that!

Tina, it always took us several days to get ready for camping trips. Have to make sure you have everything!

I dont have much to do today, just laundry I suppose.
I've made several valiant efforts to repairs Jackson's glasses (the ear stem broke), but I've been unsuccessful. Now he has no glasses, as I sent his other pair down to ark with him when he visited my mother. She was supposed to take them back to Lens Crafters to buy new frames, but never made it. Grrr. Now his eyes hurts, and I'll have to go in the morning to the eye shop we bought these from to see if we can get another pair. However, it took a week the last time for these to be ready, so regardless Jackson will have to deal with it for a week. Uggh.

Balsamic fig maple marinade

Here's the sauce, Jojo. It's made up here for Sobey's, a huge grocery store chain.

So sorry about Jackson's specs. There are new frames available now that are supposed to be kid-proof. I wish they made them in adult sizes for Ted, lol. He's like a big kid with his.

The whole dinner sounds yummy, KaeEll...!!!

We had a brief little downpour here this afternoon, but the sun is back out now, and it's HOT.

Jim is relaxing, and I managed to postpone my doll deadline yesterday, so I have an extra week to stitch.

Thanks Kae...I'll have my friend from Alberta stop at Sobeys before she flies down this weekend and pick me some up.

And I definitely need kid frames.
