RS has hit the TV news with it's latest expose on Jack. He announces to the reporter interviewing him that the article on him was 100% true, yes he does want complete control of the magazine and just watch him get it.
Phyllis tells Sharon that Nick and Nikki have to identify a body pulled from a tide pool. Sharon's really concerned about Nick and Phyllis can see that.
Kids are having a farewell party for Ana who is leaving for NH today. And joy, oh joy, Tyra's going with her.
Chloe's shows Cane a pile of things she bought for the baby. He feels a touch guilty for assuming the worst of her purchases.
Karen watches from across the room as Neil tries to talk Tyra into staying in GC. Rolling eyes.
At Phyllis' insistence, Sharon tells Noah that the Mexican authorities issued a death certificate for Victor, but it's likely premature for them to have done so.
Meanwhile, in Mexico, the bartender, Nick and Nikki identify a photo of the dead man as Walter, NOT Victor. Bartender points out that Walter was on the same boat as Victor, so if he died, likely Victor did too.
Cane and Chloe again. He apologises to her for snapping at her a while ago. He then asks her to wait a bit before announcing their marriage, he has something to do first. (Tell Lily, I guess.)
When asked if his next article might be on Victor Newman, what would the title be, he says "The Man with a Black Hole For a Heart". Good one, Jack!
Sharon scowls as she sees Phyllis talking to Noah, telling him that Victor is dead, then lashes out at her for talking like that to him. The kid had stormed out by then. (Here we have Phyllis believing the worst, Sharon holding out strong hope that V is alive somewhere.)
More Neil and Tyra boring blah, blah. Karen again interrupts them as she could see Tyra googly eying her man, lol. Neil's kind of an idiot here, non?
Sort of a slow day today.
Cane tries to tell Lily about marrying Chloe but that kid interrupts him. Cane asks Lily to walk him outside, then tells her the news. She's stoic, tells him to go. e says he'll never stop loving her. Neil smells a rat when she comes back in, sees she's upset.
Chloe makes her marriage announcement at RS.
Sharon grabs the phone from Phyllis as she's talking to Nick. The ladies argue. Oops! Jack overhears Phyllis warning Sharon to stop obsessing about her husband, she's not married to him any more. Jack looks terribly hurt.
I knew it was going to be Walter. And how much do we want to wager that Cane is going to fall for Chloe
It's beginning to look like that. He's not falling for her yet, but he is giving her the benefit of the doubt a tiny bit more now.
Jack and Sharon have a painful conversation about Jack's relationship with Nick.
Chloe relieves Phyllis with the news that the engagement party is off, lol. Phyllis figures she'd be persona non grata there anyway after Jill reads the Chow article.
Sappy crud as Tyra and Ana leave. Karen's poor little eyes are rolling around like crazy now. Sheesh, enough already. Phew, door's closed behind them. All gone. Humph.
Well I kind of think its a good idea, Lily and Cane were cute but they were boring. Chloe is anything but boring.
And I think that Phyllis is showing how unNewman she really is
That's for sure about Phyllis! There's an enormous contrast today between the two ladies with Phyllis coming off as the outsider in the Newman tribe. (Again, I like both of them, so it's just an observation here.)
And MORE Winters as Devon tells Neil he's staying in school but changing his major. Hugs.
Jack and Sharon continue their conversation about Nick and his position with the magazine. Jack tells her Nick doesn't have what it takes to be successful in this business and Noah overhears, upsetting him. "So that's what you think of my father?" Sharon points out that Jack needs to be more sensitive the the Newman situation and this back biting has to stop. Jack understands, apologises.
Nick and Nikki are preparing to fly back home.
Cane sees a tearful Lily at CL, tries to make her feel better by saying he'll divorce Chloe and come back to her after he establishes legal rights to the baby. He begs her to wait for him.
Karen ain't too thrilled when Neil expresses his sadness that Tyra and Ana's departure make him feel empty inside. Blink, blink.
Good Jack and Noah scene as Jack apologises Noah for being a jerk. Nice scene!
Chloe barges in just as Lily and Cane reach out to each other's hands. Lily scampers off. Pissed off Cane again!
What?? Nikki leaves a not for sleeping Nick, hands note to the pilot, asks him to give it Nick when they reach GC, then walks out of the plane.

Jack to Nick: "We've both had to start over. The difference is that my father lived an honourable life." Nick flinches.
Jill asks Kay if that's a threat. Kay says "I just don't trust you any more".
Jill's been weird lately IMO. She was crazy to appoint Cane as the CEO and Kay's right to wonder what the heck Jill is really up to. Jill keeps talking about needing blind loyalty from Jabot's CEO - I think she means that she needs a puppet in that position. Poor Cane, lol. He's getting it from all sides . The fur is going to fly, that's for sure!!
