Amanda (my ABC spoiler lady up here) was talking about how Myrtle might be killed off by a tornado. I haven't watched AMC for a long time, so this is a real shocker to me. Sorry if this is old news, but rather than go to SOC and ask Moore, I thought I'd post it here. Is Eileen unwell? Is this her choice? She must be well on in her eighties by now, so I could certainly understand her thinking about retirement from soaps, but wouldn't it be nicer to move her to Florida or something? Killing her off in a tornado seems so mean.
Amanda then said she read in Nelson Branco's column that Myrtle's demise might pave the way for Robin Christopher to return as Skye since she is Myrtle's granddaughter.
I don't know of any health issues with Eileen Hurley, but she's becoming a little bit feeble, as is James Mitchell (Palmer) who is hardly ever on anymore. Myrtle makes the occasional appearance, but hasn't been on lately. We always do big happy dances on the AMC board whenever we see her!
The spoilers I've read are implying that when the tornado strikes PV, Myrtle will die, and that this is mainly a plot device to get Skye back. However, as far as I can tell, it's not written in stone!
I love Myrtle; I love her relationship with Zach, and I loved seeing her a few months ago out drinking martinis with Palmer. LOL... It's possible that she wants to retire, and so TPTB will take advantage of it. But, we'll see!

Instead of killing her off I wish they would do like they did with Anna on GH and bring her in occasionally, like they do anyways. Then whenever the actress does leave us they do a funeral for her. Isn't that what they did with Phoebe as well?

Is it worth another stab at watching now? I had it on today while I was toiling away in the kitchen and I couldn't figure out who some of the characters were. Jackson was kissing a total stranger!! And did I hear Adam tell Erica that she was free to marry him again? What? LOL!! Did she haul off and smack him after that? I would have, lol.
Yes, Erica hauled off, and knocked the daylights out of Adam! LOL...
Jack was kissing Carmen, a new character, who was Erica's jail buddy. She's also working as Adam's maid! Good times... She tells him what's what, and is hysterical.
Carmen and another new character (Randi -- a former hooker) have some kind of mysterious past together, either as friends or as sisters, and were just talking about Myrtle's Boutique the other day. They were remembering how they used to window shop there, back in their teens, and how they drooled over all of the beautiful clothes that they couldn't afford. It was a nice little nod to AMC's past.
It's nice to have Jesse and Angie back, and there are some pretty good things going on right now, and others that are a bore! I'm always happy to answer your questions, though, if you decide to jump back in.
Honestly, I could watch Adam and Tad all day long. Love those two!

I think its debatable, I kind of think the Adam/Erica/Jack/total stranger is a refreshing break from Kendall, Greenlee, Ryan, Zack and the rest of that bunch.
I love Myrtle too, and I love the scenes that she has with Zack.
Okay, I'll give it a try for the rest of the week. Carmen sounds like fun - somebody to tell Adam a thing or two, lol. If I have dumb questions, bear with me while I catch up, okay?

The vets have been pretty funny lately too! Yesterday, Opal showed up at Erica's place, and was teasing Erica about having all of the great men, and not sharing any of them. Then Adam appears at the door, and Opal mutters:
"This one you can have for yourself..."
Adam: "Opal."
Opal to Adam: "Lucifer." Opal to Erica: "I don't even want to know..."
Then today, there was an exchange between Adam and Jack. They passed each other at the yacht club -- Jack was going over to talk to Erica, and Adam was going to order some champagne.
Jack says to Adam: "Jerk!"
Adam says to Jack: "Dolt!"
Too funny...
