Adam and Brad meet to discuss the restructuring of NE with Nick, Neil and Victoria forced out.
Victoria and Nick worry about their mother, haven't heard from her in 2 days. Both share details of their letters from their father. They seem to have accepted Victor's "death".
Paul, in Mexico. organises a search team for Nikki, questions the bartender, who feigns ignorance. Meanwhile, Nikki is in some shack and the little girl brings in food for Victor. Nikki tells her that that man (Victor) is never coming back.
At RS loft, Daniel works on the Restless Amber site. Jack's distracted, Sharon asks him what's wrong. It was Sharon defending Nick on impulse and he won't forget it, needs to understand it first. Kiss and make up but Jack's still bothered.
Nick and Victoria try so hard to understand why their father treated them the way he did and yet could be so kind in his letters to them.
Good scene with Nikki and the little Mexican girl. She tells little girl she's done waiting and if that man ever comes back, tell him I've gone home.
Brad and Adam plan a press conference. In comes the reporter. Adam tells him that this is the new era for NE and HE is Victor Adam Newman, no more junior.
Amber and Daniel dance around their mutual attraction. He says she's not over him and that's sweet. She's just hurt, especially because he still believes the Liam fellow is made up.
Paul meets Nikki in the seedy bar. Hugs. Victor's ALIVE! But he's dead inside, never seen him like this, never seen him this bad.
Nick and Sharon discuss school issues with Noah. Kid doesn't want to become a trust fund pampered baby, convinces his dad that as long as he stays out of trouble and gets no less than a B+ average, he can go to the public school as long as his mom agrees. (Since this isn't a particularly compelling story, I have to assume it's all a part of Sharon and Nick getting back together again.)
Jack goes to see Adam, gets him to reinstate all NE advertising in RS, with all sorts of special considerations, of course. (Oh, Victor's going to LOVE that, lol.)
Victoria gets a call from Nikki. He's ALIVE!! OMG's all around. Dismayed faces as Nikki tells Nick, Victoria, Sharon and Noah, on speaker phone, that Victor says he is never coming back, and he means it. Nick says this changes everything.
Heather and Adam, kisses hello and he gloats about all his fabulous accomplishments. She warns him that a lot of people are going to be happy to see him fall on his face, so be careful. She undresses him, make love. (What the heck is Heather's agenda??? Yes, I know she's really into him and he's a puppy dog lapping up all the attention, but she's ignoring that dark harsh side of him. Do you think she's working on him so hard because of his position now?)
Amber and Daniel again on Liam is a fake, no he isn't. He invites the two of them to his art show in NYC, expects to see both of them there.
Jack works on his article on Victor and his heir. Nick interrupts, baits Jack for a while before he tells him that Victor is alive. Nick wants the article deleted, Jack refuses, says this is red hot.
Nikki tells Paul that it's over now with Victor, he's done with her, done with everyone.
Brad opens mouth, inserts foot with Victoria. She bounces past him, says there's about to be a paradigm shift. Love it!!
OH WOW!!! As Adam and Heather get very, very busy on Victor's sofa at the ranch, in walks the great guy, stares down at them with so much contempt, it gave me goosebumps!!!
At the ranch, a very excited Michael tells Nick and Victoria that their father isn't quite ready to see them yet. Nick asks what the hell is going on. Victoria says she doesn't understand.
Victor, in his living room at the ranch, says to Adam without looking at him "whatever gave you the idea that I wanted you to fire Neil Winters?" Adam looks a tad worried, lol.
I am kind of sad that they are doing away with Phyllis/Nick and Sharon/Jack in favor of Sharon and Nick. Ugh
Me too. I like the pairings the way they are, and I really hoped that Sharon and Jack would work things out, that Nick and Phyllis would too. If it ain't broke, don't fix it doesn't mean a thing on soaps, lol.
