I'll just make some highpoint comments today as I haven't really had the opportunity to sit down quietly and watch - Ted's home and the phones keep ringing. I changed the expedition to the store for my mom until dinner time so Ted can drive us, and I'll run in and get the coat.
Big deal today is Victor's return! SO good as he hears from Michael that Adam fired Victoria and Neil, hired Brad Carlton as CEO. Victor says Adam screwed up big time in his absence, *snort* The worst of it was that Estella told Victor, when he asked where Zapatto was, that Adam had him banished to the kennel!!! YIKES!! Victor ordered Estella to have him returned to the ranch "at once". "Yes, Mr. Newman". LOVED it!!! Yay!!
Oh, and too funny when Adam realised his father was watching him and Heather groping each other, lol. He leapt to his feet so fast, and looked like he'd seen a ghost. You will LOVE that scene right at the very beginning.
Lots of Chloe today - she hands Cane a paper delineating her parental rights over the baby, basically that he can't just take baby away unless she does something REALLY horrible. Jill wants Cane to get an annulment. He ignores the daylights out of Chloe (who proves she legally changed her name, btw), so she moves in with her mother at Kay's place. She THREW her laundry at Esther!! Said they were in need of ironing or something. Really endearing, lol. (Esther really isn't the brightest bulb.)
Really good scene as neil greets Victor. V reinstates him as head of the company immediately, says "my son screwed up royally in my absence and we need to fix that right away".
Usually I don't like the wrath that is Victor but right now I am oh so enjoying it. I can't believe that Adam got rid of the dog. Wonder how he will explain that one.
Okay, I'm back - have house to myself again. Phew, lol.
Lily learns that Chloe is Esther's daughter, sees Cane at CL and as they chat together, Chloe interrupts to say she's going shopping in Chicago for baby clothes. Long gazes between Lily and Cane.
Adam is snotty to Nick and Victoria as Michael comes into the living room to summon Adam into Victor's den. Oh goody!! Here it comes!! Victor is about to lay into him. Yep. "Whatever gave you the idea that I wanted you to fire Neil Winters?" Victor hasn't even looked at Adam yet and he was blithering on about how he tried his best and was so overcome with grief....
Michael stops an impatient Nick from barging in on Victor who is still reaming Adam.
Victor to Adam "You have obviously learned very little about me in the last few months", but Adam counters, asks to take a little time and talk about this. Victor slams the book he was reading down on the desk, removes his glasses, smooths his hair. "Neil Winters will be reinstated, he will run the company, alone, and you, Adam Wilson, are fired."
Neil and Devon filler. Neil's thrilled that he has Victor back. Devon quit his NE job to concentrate on is music. Neil says he learned from Victor that you can't force your kids to do anything, so he's happy for him.
Lily stops by to see Cane, tell him that no matter how badly things are messed up with Chloe, he will make an amazing father. She says she doesn't blame him for what happened, she blames "that bitch".
Kay advises Jill to stop meddling in Cane's business with Chloe, Jill says like you never do with me, and the arguments start all over again. Those two! Gah!! Great Kay scene!
As Cane shows Lily out, they fall into a big long kiss, she pulls away, "we can't do this".
Victor to Adam "you can tell a great deal about a man by what he does when no one is watching". Then he goes on to say that what he (Adam) did shows him what he's made of, and he wants him out of this house, immediately! Adam winces like a scolded child, covers his eyes, begs him "dad, please don't do this" "It's already done", replies Victor. WOW! Fantastic scene!!
Back in the living room. Michael talks to Nick and Victoria about the press statement about their dad's return, out walks a very hangdog Adam. Michael rushes into Victor's study. He reenters the livimg room, tells Nick and Victoria they're UP. In they go to see Victor who has his back to the door. He turns slowly and faces his kids. Victoria says with fear and concern dripping in her voice "dad?' Victor stares, says nothing.

Adam to Neil "I hope there'd be no hard feelings". Neil responds, almost comically "You FIRED me". LOL. Love Neil!!
Victor to Nick and Victoria "there have been a lot of changes in my life and our business". Victoria interrupts him, asks him to please *** with us. (I replayed that several times but couldn't catch what she said.)
Gloating Jeff tells Gloria that as soon as they get control of Jabot, he's making himself CEO.
I saw this show last night, my oh my was it good. Anyone around here wants to know why me and kae don't watch much on ABC its because after watching shows like this, ABC is horrible in comparison.
I have to find the victor stuff on you tube because my mom missed it and for some reason her soaps didn't record.
While I was home in July I had her add Y&R to her daily soap recordings and got her hooked. She agreed that its better then anything ABC
