Daniel at CL, kisses from Colleen, makes arrangements for his art show, needs to write a bio and she offers to help him but he can't do it tonight as she suggests.
Jack tells Adam they have to be patient, this all takes careful planning. Gloria overhears the phone conversation and presumes it's about the takeover of Jabot. Jack winces.
SEC guys turn up looking for Jill and will confiscate all data pertaining to this case. Cane leads them into Jill's office. She's not there yet - still back at GCAC giving Brad a hard time. (Now I GET it - Cane will ask Jill to step down because of the SEC investigation!)
Daniel thanks Colleen for being "so cool" and they plan a real date when the art show is all over.
Kevin needles Amber about her "imaginary friend", Liam. Oh! Clue - Amber tells Kevin that Liam drives a $200,000 sports car. (Didn't Billy spend a bundle on one of those things?) Liam's phone number has been disconnected.
Gloria and Jack re Jabot - he orders her to get Kay's stocks down from 51 to 49%. then he'll go to his family, not before. Gloria's not so sure Ashley will be on side - she hates her guts, lol.
Jill arrives at the office to see the SEC men carrying out all the files. She and Cane go into the board room to discuss damage control, he asks her to step down as CEO of CI - he'll put it in the press statement.
Jill refuses to step down, they'll find another way. Cane is not amused!
Jeff and Gloria over breakfast at GCAC - those two are so funny!! Neither trusts the other, lol. She nips off to go shopping, he calls Jack.
Amber and Daniel, Kevin and Jana - casual conversation about the art show, Liam's name comes up, guys still think he's made up. Amber snarks at Colleen about Daniel, Colleen snarks back. Jana intercepts, hauls Colleen away before the scene gets any worse.
SEC man demands Jill go with them just as Cane was putting his strong argument to her about stepping down.
Brad and Heather - cautious conversation about Adam. Brad tells her to tell Adam to give him a call, brainstorm.
Kay slams down the phone, angry about the SEC - she's on her way. Gloria arrives at Kay's door with a present all wrapped up - "I owe you an apology". Kay's not in the mood for Gloria, lol.
Jack talks to his father about moving on, about how he feels like the world got yanked out from under him - so much loss...GREAT scene!!! OMG, love PB. Such a wonderful scene.
John advises Jack that he needs to trust Gloria regarding the Jabot deal. And in comes Jeff to talk about Jabot.
Gloria buttonholes poor Kay who is really in a rush to get to the office, asks her to give her some of her shares of Jabot. G uses the ruse about a dream message from John. Kay says NO, thank goodness.
Colleen and Jana - sheesh! Colleen is being quite the little bitch here, all about Daniel and Amber and Colleen isn't going to step aside for Amber - she's into Daniel for good. Jana smacks her own forehead.
Kay arrives to find Jill packing up her files - she IS leaving, temporarily. Kay stares grimly at Cane who says he did what had to be done.
More Amber and Colleen again trading snipes. Amber claims she is bringing her new boyfriend to Daniel's opening.
Kevin and Daniel on the basketball court - Colleen vs Amber talk. D's not over Amber. Kevin says he shouldn't be stringing Colleen along if he's planning to get back with A.
Jeff tells Jack about his boatload of Jabot stock, and what should their next move be. LOL!! Jack tells him that he's already had the very same conversation with Gloria earlier today, and in flounces Gloria with the news that she just spoke to Kay. Jeff finishes her sentence "about her Jabot stocks?"
Funny as Jeff calls Glo a "naughty wench" for talking to Jack behind his back. Jack makes a funny observation about lying and backstabbing as foreplay says his instincts have told him all along to RUN from those two lunatics. Glo LIES to Jack, says she got Kay's shares! Both men are flabbergasted.
Back at CI, Kay congratulates Cane on his brilliant move - getting Jill to step down, it's what leaders do, find solutions.
Jill's with Heather, wants to make a deal with her. If Heather stands up for Jill with the SEC, Jill will tell her everything about Bradley's connections with the David Chow affair, the gambling problem, etc. Heather wants evidence, documentation. Jill has it, she says. Heather says since it's organised crime, she has to call in the FBI. "Do what you have to do."
Meanwhile, Brad learns from Kevin about the SEC raid at Jabot, then places a call about a stock purchase - oil and stuff, arranges a meeting with Jeff(???) for tonight.
Amber can not reach Liam. She admits to Jana that she's drop Liam in a hot second for Daniel, but she doesn't have a choice now, does she? Meanwhile, Colleen asks Daniel why she never received an invitation to his art opening while Amber did. He admits to her he isn't over Amber yet.
Next:
Chloe to Cane and Lily "I'm not going to just sit around and pretend that I don't care that you two are just friends".
Colleen is changing into quite the little snippy bitchy thing, not so sweet any more. It's as if she's just out to hurt Amber more than actually caring about Daniel. Her reaction to Daniel's admission to her that he wasn't yet over Amber (in explaining why he hadn't invited her to his art show) was only partly hurt, but more so that she felt 'drat, this is going to be harder than I thought'. She's more her father's daughter every day, lol.
Just wanted to verify something in today's epi - another site's recap of the day ahead said that Gloria told Jack and Jeff that she GOT some of Kay's shares of Jabot. She did NOT get them, she LIED to the guys when she told them that she did. I think this is going to be important...just so you know, Shelly. Kay was really adamant with Gloria that she had absolutely no intention of letting Gloria have any at all, that as an astute businessman, John would understand this.
So I have decided that I think something more happened in Mexico then we know about. Like maybe Walter told Vic something before he died. I don't know, I feel like there is something more besides grieving going on here.
And I think that something is going on with Heather, like maybe she is working for the FBI undercover or something. She is a bit too nosy for just a DA.
Agree about the Mexico thing AND Heather. She's an ambitious one, that's for sure. But she was always like a dog with a bone at the DA's office. But her instincts haven't been so good. We shall see!
