Big rainy morning here! It kind of killed any ambitions I had for today, like heading to the MacGregor Factory outlet for Ted's socks and then to Sears for some other essentials since my Sunday trip to Zellers was a complete bust in that regard.
Naturally, the papers are filled this morning with pundits rambling on at length about yesterday's failed attempt to pass that bail out thing in the US. I enjoyed watching Nancy Pelosi's speech that started with "When was the last time someone asked you for $700 billion dollars?" What do you guys think about what has happened? Is it a good thing or not?
I personally am not in favor of giving such a large amount of money to these people who screwed up. I am happy that it was turned down, I am not however happy with the gigantic drop in the DOW. That was bad. I do think that there has to be a better way and considering how much money these people in Congress get paid they better start thinking of something that isn't so damned expensive.
Anyways, Kae I think you may be getting the rain that we had here this weekend. It was not fun. I hope that you can manage to get things done despite the nasty weather.
We had our first ultra sound yesterday. Turns out we are only about 4-5 weeks and so they weren't really able to see anything good. Hopefully they will let us do another one before Vinnie goes to sea. Would be nice if he could take the little picture with him when he goes. They drew about a pint of blood from me yesterday too, was nice though. I am use to going to the base clinic where such a large amount of blood would have guaranteed a large bruise, but with an actual professional I am actually not bruised at all, not yet anyways.
I am extremely sleepy today, wish I could take a nap.
