Early morning, Nick and Phyllis waking up, talking about Noah, beer and how Nick was glad he could be there to help Sharon deal with the problem. Phyllis flops back down on her pillow either out of guilt for what she did to that letter, or miffed because Sharon's name came up again (although she was the one who brought it up initially). CL, early, as Sharon explains to Noah that part of his punishment is mucking out stalls at the ranch. Noah tries to negotiate, Sharon stands firm, says she and his dad are in total agreement on this.
Billy pleases Jack with the news of his Jabot job, and in comes Gloria, grosses out Billy, lol.
Kevin thrills Jana with a second week anniversary gift, new tarot cards. Cute. They read in the paper about Lowell's arrest and trial.
Mike agonises over blurting out to Eden why her father was in prison, says he's going to see him first thing today. Eden overhears, wants to come too.
Kay and Jill disagree about Colleen as Lily's replacement. Jill's negative, Kay thinks it's great, she's an Abbott and all. In comes Billy (at the Jabot office). Nice Billy and Kay scene. Jill says she hasn't figured out yet the perfect placement for him at Jabot but she will.
Gloria hedges when Jack insists they move forward with Jabot take-over (because she does NOT have Kay's 5% and Jack believes she does).
Oh geez - Sharon and Nick together at CL. She confides in him about the Jack with Ashley thing, NYC, how she accused him of lying. Nick nods, says he's glad it all worked out. (I hate to se the term clangers here, but hey, that's what these scenes are.)
I don't feel bad for Eden one bit. If she wants to act the way she does then she needs to take it
I can't stand the kid, lol. I think they blew it hiring this actress, never mind that I don't care about Lowell either, so this story falls flat for me.
Sharon's a bit cold to Jack when she gets home from dropping Noah at the ranch. Jack recalls catching sight of Nick and Sharon in an embrace when he got home last night, saddens him. Sharon fills him in on the Noah mess, that Nick was there to help her out with him. He asks her where her accusation of him lying came from. "Phyllis shooting off her big mouth again and I fell for it."
Nick confronts Phyllis about getting involved in Sharon and Jack's marriage, telling her that Jack was lying like that. She apologises, says she was wrong, promises that they'll all get along now, no more rivalry, it's all over.
Jill tells Billy that she's thrilled he's getting to know Cane. He fills her in on a company called "The Greeting Lovers" who are heavily buying up Jabot stock, especially during the Chow scandal. She knew about that but was unaware that they weren't selling now, says she'll keep an eye on it. Billy calls his broker, asks for a background check on Greeting Lovers.
Gloria presses Kevin to get Katherine to sell her 5% of her stock and if she isn't displaying any "senior moments" right now, it's time to give her some. (Kay was unusually smiley and chipper when she arrived at CL to meet Kevin for a computer lesson. I keep thinking about the speculation that Kay and Marge are switching places here and there.)
ACK!! Eden again with the faces and angry snarling at her father. She, Lauren and Mike are at the prison. Kid yells at him for lying to her about the murder charges, he claims they aren't true. (Yick. I don't ever remember disliking any part of Y&R as much as this one.)
Kevin refuses to run a gaslight scheme on Kay at first, but Gloria convinces him. Jana watches Kevin skip out of the coffee house, suspicious of what he and Gloria are up to. (He's going to hot wire Kay's car, mover it a few blocks, Gloria will drive her to her car and out of gratitude, she'll sell her the stocks.)
Sharon's furious with Jack for his secretive behaviour when he was in NYC, says married people don't do that. Jack pussyfoots around to no avail. She's pissed off but good!
Phyllis presents Nick with their first solo issue. He wants to read it cover to cover, she does her best to distract him (not wanting him to see what she had changed) with babbling about Summer but he catches the editor's letter. "Hey, what is this?" Oooh, he is angry!! Argument ensues, a quiet and a bad one. He ends it by saying he can't work with her like this.
Flash over to Jack and Sharon who verbalise being okay with everything now (the vagaries about his trip) but as they hug, the expression on Jack's face is of apprehension and on hers, an uncomfortable resignation. Neither of the two couple today is anywhere near "okay".
Billy gets a little info on Greeting Lovers - they incorporated in the Caymans.
Good scene as Kay runs back into CL. "My car is gone!" Jana knows for sure now that Gloria and Kevin were up to something. Gloria swoops in as her bestest fwiend. Ugh.
Eden again. Lauren tries talking to her. Whatever Eden's saying, I can't be bothered listening to because of all her contorted facial expressions. (Sorry Shelly.)
Mike asks Lowell about Howard Sullivan, the man questioned by the authorities at the bombing, and can we locate him? "Meantime, get a haircut, shave, wear a suit, we have to humanise you." Lowell freaks at Mike's suggestion that he put Eden on the stand as a character witness.
Nick takes Sharon a copy of RS, shows her Phyllis's letter in it. He apologises to her. She says she's sorry for him, he's married to her. Nick says he doesn't agree with Phyllis at all. She says she knows. (Oh geez.)
Kay believes she forgot about where she parked as the cops found it a few blocks away. Gloria's scheme worked so far.
Billy figures out that Gloria is "Agreeing Lovers" (or whatever it is), asks Jack if she is his silent partner. Jack denies it and gets up to take a call.
And my recording cut off there. I'll catch the end at the 4:30 airing here.
