Nick and Phyllis the morning after the rain storm, lovey dovey, officially made-up. RS first solo issue is to be released today.
Jack and Sharon, lovey dovey the same time. Jack's face falls when Sharon tells him that Nick had already showed her the editorial in RS that Phyllis wrote.
Nikki and Victoria over breakfast. Victoria gets a call from Neil - trouble with the Singapore contracts, they have been stalling since Victor went missing. Nikki recalls how she suggested to Victor in Mexico that he killed Walter to avenge Sabrina's death. She then tells her daughter how Victor lost a piece of himself in Mexico and she wonders if he'll ever get it back.
Adam and Heather wake up together. He's concerned that he'll never get a job, she suggests he try to get NE people to be reasonable and hire him back. Heather recognises a photo of dead Tony Amato, aka Walter Pailn on Adam's computer. "Where did you get this???"
Nikki confronts Brad about what he did, his poker party with David, he has blood on his hands. Argument ensues, she calls him a son of a bitch, Victoria hauls her away.
Heather might take up the investigation into Amato's death, find out what really happened. She wants him to let her take over this, and no more partnership with Jack in this, he can't be trusted, especially not with a Newman.
Jack's hurt that Sharon didn't tell him about Nick and the editorial, She tells him to let it go, he agrees to her face, then seethes when she leaves.
Jack calls Adam, did he reconsider his diary work on Victor? Nope. Jack tries to convince him with the promise of more money than he'd make in some cubicle in the business world. Adam considers it.
Adam still says no, hangs up. Jack leaves his house, angry.
Ugh. Brad bumps into Sharon at GCAC, buys her a smoothie, chat about the editorial in RS - all friendly. Sharon is glad to be out of that viper's nest, RS.
AT the RS office, Nikki reads a so-so review of their latest issue in the paper. Phyllis gets lukewarm news from the publisher, it's not flying off the shelves, but sales are steady. They're optimistic.
Adam goes to see Neil. Uh oh. Neil all but throws him out at first, but holds his dignity as he explains that his bad luck finding a job is his own doing. Adam presents an argument for hiring him back, Neil thinks he may have a point. Yes, they DO need another Newman here, Nick. (Poor Adam!! I actually feel sorry for him.) Victoria throws him out of the building.
More Brad ans Sharon over the Chow mess. He's confident it'll all turn out to be okay as soon as the FBI finds this Palin guy and have him tell them that HE wasn't involved. Meanwhile, Heather is hot on the trail of mystery in Mexico.
Nick dashes off to NE - Victoria called him. Nikki chastises Phyllis for the editorial, Phyllis gives it right back, threatens to fire her if she keeps it up. DUMB, dumb Nikki says her son would never allow that. (Oh boy!! A m-i-l should NEVER, ever do that!! Gah!)
Phyllis and Jack at CL - they still remember each other's food preferences. Flash to Nick at Neil's office door. "Thanks for comin' over, Nick." Neil and Victoria ask him to come back to NE, he chuckles, says no. V and N present a good argument for him to return, even if part time.
Adam stops Nikki, asks to talk to her. At first he's mean, says no, then she indulges him a moment. He asks her to help him out a little bit with her daughter over at NE, and she flatly refuses. He asks her if it's because of "what happened in Mexico".
Heather interviews Brad. She wants to know how his money ended up in Walter Palin's bank account. Brad says you'll have to ask him, and Heather shows him the picture of dead Tony Amato, aka Walter Palin. Now he's left holding the bag on this one, says Heather. Uh oh, Brad, lol.
Sharon's home, calls for Jack who isn't there, he's with Phyllis and he's giving her a hard time about slamming Sharon, learns that Nick read her the riot act over that letter. Good scene!! He calls her on her big act with Nick and he's going to just sit back and watch her shoot herself in the foot, yet again. It makes her nervous, that Jack has her number so accurately, denies it all. GOOD SCENE!!!

Oh yeah, ditto on all counts! I wish this were done more subtly. Jack really nailed Phyllis in that scene in CL. Wow! So good!!
Nick is torn, what if dad comes back? He'd fire him again, and that'd be fun. Niel makes another pitch.
Brad tells Heather he'll need his attorney the next time. Heather promises him he'll get to the truth, it's her job.
Gah!! Another good scene with Adam and Nikki. Adam makes the fatal mistake of threatening Nikki if she doesn't help him - he can influence Heather to either have authorities crawling all over her regarding the Mexico affair, or, if she helps him, ask Heather to back right off her. Nikki runs with that, calls him a disgrace. (Poor Adam just can't get anything right today.)
Jack's back home with a present for Sharon, a bunch of old jazz LP's. Kiss and thanks.
OMG, Nick tells his mother and Phyllis that he IS going to go back to NE, Nikki is delighted, Phyllis horrified. Nick says he needs to do it to stop the erosion going on over there, and to return the favour (of the LOC to buy RS) to his father. Phyllis softens, agrees to work with Nikki in Nick's absence (which quite the trick considering they have been at each other's throats all episode. Ugh)
Brad's upset thathe can't reach his attorney - out of town.
Heather and Adam again. She kisses him, says she'll be back later, they can talk about how poorly things went at NE. Adam calls Jack, he's changed his mind, he's in.
