Eden smart-mouths Lauren and Michael. Mike put his foot down, says they need to have a little talk.
Nick and Victoria talk about what could have happened to their mother just as she appears back home, safe and sound. Nikki is pleased that her ruse in Brazil worked well. Nick says no more of that for her, next time they have to lead the cops astray, it'll be him.
Sour puss Heather is pissed off that Adam didn't come home last night and that Victor managed to evade the authorities in Rio. Paul arrives at his daughter's office and she's furious with him for lying to her about Brazil and Victor.
Sharon asks Jack why he was at the Motor Arms Hotel. (His credit card company called asking if that charge was legit, and Sharon took the call or the message.)
Mike does his best to talk to Eden, she rolls her eyes and contorts her face but he persists, calming her down since he says that he now believes River and what he said happened 40 years ago.
Jack LIES to Sharon that the motel charge was identity theft.
Nick and Victoria agree that their mother HAS to stop misleading the police, that Nick will go instead. Nikki gives in.
Paul and Heather argue over him going to Rio and she pulls rank, threatens to report him but won't do it, however she will never discuss this case with him again, he can't be trusted. He's sorry, her too. She coldly stalks off.
Mike surprises Eden when he tells her that she needs to help him bring River home to her, that if she misbehaves, they will use that against River, say that he raised a rotten kid.
Sharon is suspicious that the credit card was only used for the one charge before Jack cancelled it. Jack makes light of it.
Heather and a cop go to the ranch to see Nikki. Heather says talk now about Rio or come downtown with her. Nikki wants her lawyer, Heather says good, get him over here right away, she can't wait to get started.
Adam shows Jack his expose on his relationship with Victor that he'd worked on all night. He feels it will lend credence to the diary. An egomanical vengeful man.... that phrase pleased Jack!
Victoria doesn't believe their father killed Walter. Nick says he and Nikki do!
Michael comes to the ranch for Nikki as her attorney. Heather plays hard ball. Just then Michael gets a call from Victor and passes the phone to Nikki who goes dead white when she hears his voice, lol. Victor asks her if she told the authorities that he killed Walter Palin. He got a tip that they are looking for him. (Heather is in full bitch mode again. Ugh.)
Lauren and Eden stop by CL after a shopping spree for Eden's winter wardrobe, a little bonding. Noah sees Eden as he and his mother enter CL too, and he joins her.
Ugh!! Victor warns Nikki not to lead the police in any way, not to put the children in jeopardy by trying to contact him, not to interpret this as affection, just a simple warning and he will not be contacting them again at all. He asks to speak with Michael and he repeats that he will not contact them again, that he is making sure the police will not find him. Both Michael and Nikki pretend in front of Heather that they are talking to Nicholas on the phone and Victor caught on that they were in the presence of cops or the like.
Oh, and another thing - Victor said to Nikki that she may think that she knows what happened in Mexico but she most definitely does not, that the facts will all come out eventually. He also reminded her that he meant every word he said to her on the beach in Mexico (when he told her he wished she were the dead one, I suppose. It wasn't a warm fuzzy, that's for sure, lol.)
More Nick and Victoria disagreeing on whether or not their father killed Walter. Nick still believes he did it, she does not.
More Adam reading his expose to Jack, "I saw Victor Newman as beyond cruel" ... Jack LOVES it, has one word of advice for Adam, "don't hold back".
Sharon and Nick have a friendly exchange over Jack and that he's okay with her new job, some Noah coordination schedules, etc.
Eden and Noah chatter, friendly, smiling, making a bit of a connection. He's trying to convince her to go to Paris with the French class and sounds like she might have agreed to it.
Paul and Victoria, friendly, she thanks him for looking out for her mother in Rio. He was glad to do it.
Victor presses on with Michael on the phone - Michael is released from his duties as his attorney. Heather bellows in the background, has figured out it's Victor on the phone and not Nick. Victor hears her, asks Michael to put that *&^%$ (Heather) on the phone.
Noah asks his mother if he can go on that school trip after all (to Paris). Eden and Lauren have a similar conversation about the trip and Lauren urges her to go. Eden feigns reluctance.
Jack and Adam learn that the magazine will publish both the expose and the diary. As Jack closes the door behind him at the motel, he says "what a schmuck" about Adam. As Adam leaves the motel, Paul turns up asks him what he's doing there. "You were supposed to be meeting with a recruiter."
Wow, sounds like Victor is in true form today. Though I don't like Heather a whole lot so he can curse at her all he wants. I am glad Paul did what he did.
