Election Tuesday

I hope that everyone will be able to get out and vote today. Remember if you don't vote you can't complain...I voted a couple weeks ago actually so I am all set. I will be so glad when today is finally over. I wish there was a good kid friendly movie playing at the theater tonight so that I could stay out longer. I know that if I am home my tv will find one of the many voter channels and I will be stuck. And at this point I really just don't like either candidate so it doesn't matter.

So what is everyone doing today?

Jim voted a little while ago, and Arizona Daughter cast her first vote ever. She sent a text to her dad at 7:30 a.m., saying that she was standing in line which means that it was 5:30 a.m. Arizona time.

Our son is a precinct captain in Arlington which has one of the heaviest turn-outs anywhere. North Arlington is where I grew up, and is a highly political community. Our son will be working all day, probably until 10:00 pm, and then is going to a party to watch the results.

I don't know if our oldest has voted yet down in North Carolina, but I'm guessing that she did it on the way to work this morning.

I'm the last one left, and I'm planning to go at an off hour -- probably early afternoon.

A very exciting day!

My four guys all voted a few days ago with their absentee ballot forms. We all will be glued to the television tonight watching results. Online polls here for Canadians show an overwhelming preference for Obama to win the election.

My little ones managed to pass along to me a disgusting cold. My head feels like it's about to fall off. I'm going to spend the day hovering around my bed.

I'll see if I can post one of those polls for you. Canadian election poll

Oh KaeEll, I'm so sorry about the nasty cold. There's hardly anything worse than that! Make yourself a pot of tea, and climb into bed with a good book. And feel better.

Kae I am sorry to hear that you got a little bug. I hope you have some good tea and a good book like Moore suggested.
I have been suffering with allergies but not much beyond that. I actually need to get a new book. With Vinnie gone now things are going to start getting boring fast.

And I am happy to hear that so far everyone is on the voting track. It is such an important thing for us to do.

I did it!

I was parked, voted, and back in my car inside of five minutes!

Early afternoon is definitely the time to go... The school parking lot had plenty of spaces, and there were only two others voting when I went. In fact, there were more helpers than there were voters! LOL...
