Kay is sitting in a pew in the funeral home chapel talking to the casket. No, wait, it's Marge talking. Yes, Marge says she'd sure like to say goodbye to her regulars. (This must be the "clever" way the writers are letting the brain dead viewers know that it's Marge and not Kay that in the box.)
Tension at the Abbott's between Jack and Sharon. He asks her if he'll always take a back seat to Nick (Noah issue was under discussion). Flash over the Nick and Phyllis somewhat normal until Phyllis drops a little line about him going to Paris with his ex, then she backs off, says she was only kidding. But she has Nick thinking now. Phyllis is up to something, that's for sure.
People gather in the Chancellor living room for the funeral, Jill, Billy, Cane, Chloe. Jill sends off Chloe so she can talk to her 2 sons about Katherine's will and that SHE will inherit the bulk of it. Therefore she will be stepping into Katherine's role as Chairman of the Board and Billy and Cane will be her right hands. Billy says "oh goodie, I get a promotion". Cane looks pissed off.
Argh as Nikki continues with the "I'm to blame for Katherine's death" crap. Ashley walks into GCAC dining room and surprises Mikki, JT and Victoria. All stare at her.
Ashley is evasive to Nikki who questions her about Victor and WILL NOT answer any of Nikki's questions. Whoa!! Ashley has taken the attitude with Nikki that Victor isn't her concern any longer and she needs to move on, pats her on the shoulder as if she were a wayward child. Nikki is dumbstruck. (Ashley hasn't changed a bit notwithstanding what she told Victor the other day, lol.)
Billy, Cane and Jill talks about CE. Cane is beginning to see that Billy can't be trusted and has a cavalier attitude towards the business. The rivalry between those two is starting to heat up.
Phyllis bristles as Nick takes a Noah-related call from Sharon. Daniel and Amber arrive at the tack house to go to the funeral with Phyllis and Nick. Daniel asks his mother to take it easy on Amber, she's having a really rough time with this. Phyllis nods understandingly. You can see that Phyllis is beginning to show cracks in her armour.
Sharon and Jack argue - she does all the yelling, he hugs her, says he's sorry he hurt her but she pulls away and gives him a dirty look.
Brock!! Jill greets him with a big hug. Nice scene. All head out to the funeral. (BTW, Brock said Mackenzie sends her love but couldn't come as she's in Darfur working in relief for the people there.)
Traci and Dena arrive at the Abbotts. Sharon's a bit reserved and not particularly welcoming to the ladies. FBI agent comes to Jack's. He asks if they could do this later, make an appointment for tomorrow morning. Sharon sees the exchange, asks Jack who that was. He lies telling her it was someone who got the wrong address. (Oh, Jack!)
The Funeral. All sorts of self-recriminations all over the place. Nina!! Phillip is still in Iraq she tells Jill. And Danny!! And Gina!! Nikki arrives and is dizzy. Paul steadies her. (Huh? Where is that going?) Marge again, just in case nobody figured it out from her first appearance today. Marge is beginning to get it that this "ain't her funeral, it's a funeral for Katherine Chancellor". Funny bit as Marge yells at "all them rich folks". So where is Katherine???? Marge "leaves" the funeral home to look for her friend.
Phyllis makes an oblique remark to Nick about women being stronger that he thinks, that they can do anything to save the family. Nick looks a bit sheepish, she coyly smiles.
More Nina and Danny, Paul and hugs. Cricket's in Europe, says Paul.
Poor Amber cries over the casket. LOTS of boo hooing today!!
Jill is mega-bitchy to Nikki, accuses her of up-staging her with her mother for years and she's doing it again today. Poor Nikki!! YECH!
LOL, now I can see where Ashley gets her obnoxious traits from - Dina, her mother. What a piece of work that old gal is, lol.
No sooner do Jack and Sharon arrive at the funeral, she says she needs to leave and go across the room to talk to Nick. Billy is a bit inappropriate in his cheerfulness, notes Dina to Traci.
Phyllis has a flashback AGAIN to that darn bridge kiss. (Kind of interesting now that I'm beginning to feel far sorrier for Phyllis than for Sharon in this mess. Sharon is really causing all sorts of problems, and not that I blame her for being quite fed up with Jack, but she IS making way too big a deal out of the Noah thing in Paris, as if an excuse to see her ex.)
Billy tells Jack about Jill's decision to take over as Chairman of the board at CE but she really needs to give Jabot back to the Abbott family.
Sharon whispers to Nick that Jack is really upset with her about seeing him in Paris. She can't stop thinking about their kiss. He says "it was just a kiss" but you can see in his face that he's fighting his attraction to hos ex. (Ugh.)
Poor Amber again. Phyllis tries to be nice but blows it and she apologises, asks for a truce, no games, and the two ladies shake hands. Nice scene.
Mitchell Sherman!! Katherine's attorney has scheduled the reading of the will and says that recently Kay made some changes to it. Jill's bugged now.
Ashley refuses to sit with Jack and Sharon and takes a front row seat in the chapel. Nikki feels sick and needs some air and as Paul gets up to escort her out, in marches Victor and takes a seat beside Ashley. Shocked faces and gasps everywhere. (Gah, Ashley is LOVING this.) Jack is furious!
Marge is back at the crash site looking for Katherine and sees a body lying there on a river bank. It's Katherine alright. Marge fades away and Kay begins to wake up!!

The old fellow that Marge was living with is now with a barely conscious Katherine at the river bank, holding her in his arms, urging "Marge" to wake up.
Kay has to have a love relationship with that Howard guy first, so that will take a little while. I want it over quickly as well and I really want Jill to get her just deserts! She's been so vile lately.
