Day Ahead November 14

Mike and Lauren stop by CL on their way to the funeral. Kevin and Jana can't go because of a burst pipe in Cl's basement and they've been mopping up. Jana called Jill who she said was very gracious in accepting their apologies. Kevin's really bummed that they can't go.

Adam meets Heather on the CL patio. She tells him about Frank Ellis getting caught for kiting cheques and his lawyer is trying to cut him a deal right now but they likely won't go for it unless he has something really juicy for them. Frank would otherwise be looking at a very long sentence without a deal. Adam looks worried!

Victor shocks all as he takes his seat at the funeral. He looiks mean and angry. Here comes Brad. Nina chats with Gina and Danny - cute. Jack seethes at the sight of Victor. Brad leans forward and whispers into Jack's ear "this should be interesting".

Down by the river bank, Murphy with fishing rod in hand, finds "Marge" but it's really Kay. She's alive but barely.

Brock begins the eulogy as his voice cracks a little. Victoria keeps glancing over to her father. Jill's mother, the Foster lady whose name escapes me, arrives and hugs Jill. Very warm welcome for Billy too.

In come Gloria and Jeff. She grumbles that they're late, annoyed they couldn't make a grand entrance, lol. (Typical Gloria.)

Adam calls Jack, call him back asap, they have a problem (referring to Frank's attempt to cut a deal with the DA's office by ratting on them about the diary).

Back at the funeral the attendees recite the Lord's Prayer together but many are busy staring at Victor. Lots of whispers all through the church. Neil sees Lauren and Michael come in late and warns them about Victor's presence. They take a seat next to Gloria and Jeff.

At CL, Heather and Adam chat with Kevin and speculate about Katherine's will. Kevin asks questions about money that Katherine didn't mention in her will (the money he found, obviously) and Heather tells him if it's cash, it's finders keepers.

Funeral again. As Brock speaks on and on, Ashley looks over her shoulder to Jack who shoots her a very disapproving look. She ignores it and faces front again, stony faced.

Riverbank scene. Murphy, cradling "Marge" in his arms, can't get any phone service. Kay wakes up!! "Where am I and who are you?"

Kevin is making no headway with their plumbing problem and tells Jana they'll need a plumber who will charge them an arm and a leg. Jana's disheartened that they can never seem to catch a break. He says they'll find the money somewhere.

Adam and Heather are at GCAC (since they couldn't get any coffee at CL) and he orders champagne, surprising Heather with his extravagance. He says to remember he can afford it now. Happy Heather.

Elizabeth Foster takes the pulpit to say a few words about Katherine. Very touching, really nice. Next comes Billy with a glowing speech, then Cane who is really sad. Brief glimpse of Lily. Now Amber!! So incredible sweet as she speaks very fondly of her kindred spirit. Esther's turn. Jill grimaces as Esther speaks lovingly of Mrs. C. Chloe listens to her mother speak and has a gleam of love in her eyes. Jill speaks next, breaks down, then reads a morose poem about death being nothing at all.

Jill's voice over of the poem as Murphy helps Katherine to her feet. Kay has amnesia and refuses to go to a hospital, wants to go home. She hobbles on Murphy's arm up the path.

As the plumber finishes his work, Jana closes up shop for the day. She goes on ahead to the tail end of the funeral, Kevin says he'll be right behind her as he closes up the register, then opens the safe and sticks a wad of cash (from Kay's bag) into his pocket.

Brock again at the pulpit, yaps on as Nikki silently prays to thank God for bringing Victor home. Ashely prays for Victor's strength, and a bunch of other characters doing the same sort of thing but each with different thoughts. Jeff ogles "the blonde with Jack" (Dina) and speculates that she must be loaded, lol. Victor's thought are "Vengeance is yours sayeth the Lord, but I'm not patient enough to wait that long". (Hey Victor, Confucius says that before you embark on a voyage of vengeance, be sure to dig TWO graves.) Really, really good scene!!!

The last 10 minutes:

Murphy and Kay arrive at Murphy's place. She asks what they are doing there, this isn't her homw.

NO!!! Ana sings at the funeral. Devon too. Amazing Grace. All the family and friends in attendance slowly line up to place a single red rose on Kay's casket (singing in the background). Ashely and Victor leave the church holding hands. Nick, rather than following Phyllis to the casket, dashes out of the church on his father's tail. Nikki breaks down and is helped out by Paul. Aw, poor Amber.

Nick re-enters the church. Mike runs to him asks where Victor is. Nick tells him he's gone, had a car waiting for him and he took off.

Next:

At the reception, Nikki says to Paul "All my things are at the ranch. What if Victor goes back there?"

Brad stops Heather and Adam as they leave GCAC, tells them that Victor is back in town.

At the reception, Victor says to Michael that he never kept a damn diary. Where did it come from? JT says "Adam".

Really good episode!!

Sounds like a sad one, and I guess it would be sadder if we didn't know that Kay was alive
