It started snowing here yesterday afternoon, and that is really unusual for this time of year, about 6 weeks too early. Anyway, when Ted's flight came in last evening, there were at least 150 people waiting for taxis and not a single one in sight at terminal one at Pearson, the international airport here in town. So he hopped on a bus and I had to venture out and pick him up at the station. Ugh. Our plans for the evening were ruined by the time we got back. Ugh. Snow already. Bad, bad.
Moore, did Jim get back home, and how is AD doing? I think your theory about her symptoms has merit, btw.
Jim is scheduled to come home tomorrow, but is going to decide today whether or not to extend his stay. He wants to come home because our son's 24th birthday is Saturday.
AD was doing better last night, and her girlfriend Ali was going to spend the night again. Jim fixed dinner for the three of them; he baked three potatoes (speaking of baked potatoes, Shelly!!), green beans which our daughter had requested, and sauteed three chicken breasts that he'd let sit in olive oil and lemon juice for a little while. He put them in the pan with more olive oil, salt, pepper, and grated a little of the lemon rind on top.
He's going to make the girls some pancakes this morning, and had gotten some blueberries and blackberries to serve with them.
Yes, the man can cook!!
We'll see how she's feeling today, and then decide...

By the way, I forgot to say that it's still FREEZING COLD down here, but no further snow flurries. I am not ready to have it be this cold in November. It feels more like January...

Ah we got our first dose of freezing rain this morning. Then tomorrow back to the 50s and then back high again by the middle of next week. Go really warm winter! LOL.

We don't have snow yet, but we are so close to the water that we never get as much as most people do. During a snowstorm you could go like 10 miles away from the coast and find like 6-10 more inches of snow then what we get here. Though we do tend to get more ice. And personally I would rather have the snow then the ice. Snow is easier to remove. I need to start stocking up on salt though. I refuse to shovel this year. Not entirely sure if I should be anyways. Yuck snow. I like snow but I miss being in Phoenix where we could drive to Flagstaff see the snow and then turn around and go back to the warmth. I am listening to the radio station in Phoenix right now and just a little while ago the DJ said that people don't need their coats yet, then she said something about the temps being in the 80's. Sheesh, I wish. Though I bet Jim is loving it huh?
Moore that meal sounds very good. The good thing with our potato disaster is that since all the potatoes didn't get done in time we had probably 2 cookie sheets full of them. So my friend Christy is going to make mashed potatoes because I think the week after turkey day I will do a meatloaf thing. So at least that saves me from having to do the potatoes then. Though if we have some good leftover turkey I may make some enchiladas. Yummy.
