Well I got woken up by who knows what at 4 this morning and never went back to sleep. So I actually called in sick today. Am about to go crawl back into bed to try and will this cold to just go away. The weather here is ridiculously wet. We went from mid-20's to mid 30's last week but with sun to this week where it is 51 outside but pouring rain. Not sure which one I prefer. I mean at least with the cold I stayed dry.
Anyways, I will be on periodically today but not until after I force myself to sleep for a few hours. Hope everyone has a good day.
Shelly, take lots of weak tea with lemon and honey for that cold. There are lots of lovely non-caffeinated teas out there for you to choose from. Hope you can get lots of sleep today.
Today is our wedding anniversary, 180 years, lol. We're ordering in Thai or Indian food tonight and crack open a bottle of our fave Australian chardonnay. Ted was going to buy me a new wedding band as the white gold ones I have made my fingers break out and I haven't been able to wear them for three years. When we went to the jeweler's we learned that they could actually dip my rings into platinum and that would solve the problem. Apparently, the nickel that is put in gold to turn it white is the allergen, and some people react to it over time. Anyway, that's what we did. So I'll be a bride again, lol.
I have a dentist appointment at 3, ugh. Other than that, on this gloomy wet day, I'll be home.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, KaeEll. It sounds like you have a perfect evening planned, just the two of you. I'm glad you solved the wedding band mystery. That's very interesting to know. I have a plain white gold band too, but haven't developed any allergies to it yet, and that's a good thing because I'm quite sure that I couldn't even get it off of my finger now to correct the problem! It must feel very good to have those rings back on again!
Shelly, I'm sorry about your sleepless night. For someone who is expecting twins, and already tired, that's the last thing you needed! Take care of yourself today, and have lots of naps.
We had rain last night, but it's sunny this morning, and warmer. It's supposed to be a whopping 50 degrees on Thanksgiving day which is going to give me spring fever, and that will then mess with my mind for the duration of winter!

The ring thing was really an eye-opener for us. It turns out that the owner of the shop we went to, a fellow in his seventies, developed the very same rash that I did after he had had on his white gold wedding band for 40 years!! It took less time for me to react to the nickel, but I hadn't had those rings off at all, except for a couple of short hospital stays here and there for various things. And they were getting tight, too, lol. When I first put them on, they were a size 6 many years ago. I'm getting them resized to a 7 now. More of me to love all over, lol.

well I layed down, ended up just laying there for 2 hours. So I got upi and took a little robitussen, the only medicine I am allowed to take for colds. I read a book a little bit and now am going to try and nap for a couple hours...Will be back
