Wednesday

Ack, another gloomy wet day up here in Toronto. Did you watch the finale of DWTS last night? I really wanted Lance to win and we were astounded that Warren took second place! I had to leave the room for that Cyrus kid. Ugh, what jail bait.

Anyway, we had a lovely evening. We ended up ordering in veal picatta instead of Asian food as we both wanted something light. Ted fell asleep after two glasses of wine, lol and I had to pry him off the sofa after the news. My rings weren't ready yesterday yet, but I'll get them today.

The car sharing experiment has been chucked. Ted finally realised that we have both grown too fond of each having wheels and he bit the bullet and had repairs done to his minivan so it could pass the emissions test for the 2009 sticker. I still hate the darn thing, but at least I'll have my Buick every day now. We tried, lol. Thing is, if we moved closer to the subway line, it would cost us an extra $200,000 at least. That's a lot of car.

So what's up today? I'm going to do some online Christmas shopping, order up a furnace cleaning (such fun) and finish proof reading one of Mike's papers on linguistics that's to be published. It's a real test of endurance for me. Those things are so technical and frankly, boring as heck. This one compares the tonal values of interrogative, exclamatory and declarative sentences of Mexico City native Spanish speakers. In megahertz. Yech. Only a mother...

Whoa, that's a lot of stuff going on. Crappy. Hopefully that all turns out okay.

I got new furniture last night! Go me! LOL

Well I got into work today after the day off and boy is there a lot of work orders for me to process. Kind of nice actually. I have enough work to keep me busy almost all day.

Not much else going on. Still have to go to the store to buy a few items for dinner tomorrow. But aside from that nothing is going on.

Nice furniture Brandon

Love the soft cushy foot stool, Bran. Makes me want to curl up in the chair and put my feet up. Good colour choice too. It will never limit the accessories you pick up. It's great having a neutral background!

So I just ordered 10 medium pizzas from Domino's for our church dinner tonight. Only came up to 60 bucks. That is not bad..

Brandon, your furniture looks SO comfortable. KaeEll talks about falling asleep on the sofa (which Jim and I have done plenty of times ourselves, by the way), and I think that you may be in great danger of doing that too!

KaeEll, I'm glad that you had such a nice anniversary, and with not too much cooking to do. Smart!! I have to say two things about Mike: (1) congratulations on the upcoming publication of his article, and (2) OMG, I am brain dead just thinking about proofing it. (Dozes off momentarily...) Good luck with that!

I don't blame you for caving in on the car issue. I would feel totally isolated if I had to share one with Jim. Not gonna happen...

Shelly, you sound like you're a bit better today. I'm glad to know it.

I hope this posts. My computer is being very slow today!
