Okay, since we've all apparently had a little snow, I decided to post a link to my FAVORITE holiday clip, now on YouTube. At least it USED to be my favorite when I was really little, and it played on TV every Christmas season throughout my childhood.
No laughing! They were simpler times...
I sent this link to my kids too, and I'm betting that all three of them laughed until they were sick. If there's any justice, they have stomach aches now!
I never expected to find an actual clip, but only went searching for the lyrics. This was a real bonus!
Well, you have to remember that this was made PRE-Barbie, so Suzy was "beautiful"...
I read some of the YouTube comments, and some of them really cracked me up. As you can imagine, most people said that they remembered this clip (put on during commercial breaks), but one person wrote: "My sister used to cry everytime this came on."
LOL!!

LOL! Guess Suzy wasn't beautiful to everyone! I remember silly little things that used to bring me to tears, like the old Rudolph movie. The abominable snowman used to make me cry every time.
Shelly, I can never do snowflakes right. My 7 year old can though. Amazing what kids can do. I think adults just put too much thought into things sometime.
I had never seen that before! Simpler times, for sure. Now winter is all salt buckets, shovels and ice scrapers, bundling up and flu shots. The romance really is gone.
You never know what's going to scare a kid! My oldest daughter used to run from the room whenever a certain segment was on Sesame Street. It was the one when Smokey Robinson sang "You've really got a hold on me", and a giant letter U would grab onto his leg.
Scared the *bleep* out of her! LOL...
