I am sure we have all seen this commercial. I just think its so amusing and love watching it every year. If Vinnie could ever manage to be home for Christmas I may give this a try.
The only thing that springs to mind when I watch these (thanks Shelly) is the horrible waste of electricity. It makes me think of the Griswalds and fried cats.
I've seen these before too, but LOVE them!! I wouldn't want to be their neighbor either, but what a hoot.
We have a "battle of the lights" a few miles from us where two houses are across the street from each other, and they've become quite a draw. They're on a very small cul-de-sac, but traffic is lined up to see the lights nevertheless. It's a little like watching a tennis match because you're not sure which side of the street to look at; people's heads tend to go back and forth, in an effort to take it all in! LOL...

Moore when I was growing up in Phoenix we had a culdesac similar to that except that almost all the houses were lit up. It was a huge draw. Wish I could find a neighborhood like that here. The big thing for us is that down in VA they light up the boardwalk in Virginia Beach. They charge 10 bucks per car and you just drive down the boardwalk with lights on either side. Its really cool and boy Jolene just loves it
I love, love, love the lights at Christmas time too. Here, this year they have a big light fest out at the convention center park and as you drive through you turn on a local radio station which has corresponding music to go along with the light shows.
