Marge finds her ring in Pearls' purse when Pearl asked her to go into it to get the deck of cards. Marge asks her why she would steal from her.
Jeff and Gloria are pissed off about Jack and the top spot at Jabot but decide to celebrate anyway with some of Jack's wine from the cellar. She managed to get herself a key to it. Glo starts things off with a strip tease. She flings her shoes off and one breaks a window in the pool house, Oops.
Mike and Lauren cuddle and kiss, happy anniversary, 3 years. They plan a romantic evening tonight. Kiss, kiss. Lowell's hearing is this afternoon. He wishes Gloria would step up, her testimony is what they need to have the judge drop this case.
Chloe arrives at the hospital.
Marge is upset, not about the ring but that Pearl took advantage of her. Pearl claims she took it to get it appraised at the pawn shop. She says it's worth a fortune.
More silly Glo and Jeff as they each disclose to one another that they bought stock on their own in Jabot, just to be sure.
Baby seems to be okay. Cane dotes on Chloe, comforts her, holds her hand. Orderlies come and wheel her out for an MRI. Cane snarks at Lily and Billy, both waiting outside Chloe's room. Argh, Lily says she is responsible if anything happens to Cane's baby.
More Lily and Billy, talk of how Chloe trapped Cane, some mention of timing of the pregnancy and Billy goes hmmm.
Chloe now blames herself for climbing the ladder, says it was so stupid. Cane says not her fault at all. (He is really warming up to her today.)
Mike gets a call from his office, last hope now gone as Howard Sullivan refuses to testify on Lowell's behalf.
Marge, Pearl and the old guy play cards, chit chat. Nothing really.
Jeff and Gloria realise they both own exactly the same number of stocks, kiss and laugh. Lauren stops by. She wants to talk to Gloria alone, Jeff leaves for Jabot to check out his new offices. Lauren pleads for her to testify.
Hairline fracture of the pelvis, baby perfectly fine. Tricky treatment for the hip, bed rest, limited walking. Cane so happy she and the baby are healthy, he'll take good care of her. Billy and Lily conclude that what they see through the window is good news, and a nurse confirms it. Lily feels so much better.
Mike tells Lowell that Kite won't be there. "Bummer". (Geesh, lol.) Blah, blah. Meanwhile, Lauren works on Gloria. Putrid Gloria whines about her image now that she's an executive again but it's really about Jeff's threat to her that he'll expose the face cream mess if she helps Lowell.
Cane admits to Lily that the accident was a wake-up call to him to make him realise the most important thing to him is the baby and it's mother. He tells her they have to stop all the secret looks and running into one another. Lots of words but basically he breaks it off completely with her in every way. Sad Lily. (I'm starting to quite dislike Lily whereas before I was indifferent to her.)
Billy visits Chloe in the hospital and hears her tell the nurse that her baby is 23 weeks along in gestation. He confronts her, is he the baby's daddy? Chloe sticks to her story that Cane is. Billy doesn't buy it, leaves. She talks to her belly, says she wishes she loved Cane the way she loves the real daddy.
Mike is stressed out over the case for Lowell. He gets called, the judge will see them now.
Lauren gets very tough with Gloria, threatens to cut her out of their lives if she doesn't get down to the courthouse NOW.
Marge and Murphy again as they grow closer. He tells her she belongs there with him, no more talk about selling the ring and moving out.
Lily stops by Chloe's room and announces that she will keep her distance from the both of them now.
Nurse tells Billy she believes Chloe is farther along than she thinks and yes, the baby could have been conceived in June. Bingo! Billy gets it.
Cane promises Chloe that he will be there for her and their daughter in every way, they will be a real family. Happy Chloe but a wee bit sad (over Billy).
Lauren gets through to Gloria. As she is about to walk out the door for the courthouse, Jeff stops her, reminds her of his threat.
Judge denies Michael's request for a continuance (until Sullivan gets back).
Next:
Sharon to Jack, "It's time we tell Noah that you and I are not together anymore". Jack nods sadly.
Nick confronts Phyllis about being in Paris when he was and didn't bother to tell him about it.
Jeff holds up the bottle of the tainted cream, says to Gloria that it's just a little reminder of what is at stake here. Gloria's all torn up.
I feel for Gloria, though I think that is just because the actress is so good. But I am so glad that this is finally coming out. Now maybe Jack will be able to take over at Jabot
I don't feel sorry for Gloria one bit, find her insufferable, lol. I really want to see her pay for what she did with the face cream and create so much havoc in Jack's life. But Judith Chapman is great in the role, so true. And I love Ted Shackleford's take on Jeff. He's brilliant!! Such an evil grin. Too funny, those two.
The part about the Lowell story I can't stand is how they have written Michael's new relationship with his long lost father. I don't get it. Every time Lowell is on the screen I want to ff it. That doesn't happen very often with me when I watch Y&R.
And yeah, I liked the Colleen we had before better than this one.
It has to be Judith Chapman, if the role was played by probably anyone else I wouldn't feel anything. I just can't help but be sucked in by JC.
And I totally agree about Ted Shackleford. Whoever made the decision to bring him back after killing him off was really smart. He is good, and him and JC together are just great.
