Well today is my first day back to work in like 3 weeks and wow was I missed. Lots of work to catch up on. Probably about 3-4 inches thick of work orders that need filing. Thankfully one of the guys here closed them for me. Phew. As it is I probably have about 100 that need closed anyways. Good thing to keep me busy though on my first day back. It feels weird because of the three girls who got hired on when I did I am the only one here, the other two's contracts were not renewed.
So what is new with everyone today? Anything good?
Nothing exciting here today but as usual, there are comings and goings, lol. Mike is in WV again for the week before he (reluctantly) heads back to Auckland, and that's a LONG story. There was some terrible drama at a friend's house last week but I managed to stay out of it, wisely. Ugh. Police were involved.
It's sunny and cold today. Ted's taking my car today so I'll be home all day nursing the remnants of the most disgusting cold ever. Thank goodness for Tylenol because the headache that accompanied it was brutal.
I'll watch Y&R in half an hour and post, Shelly. I've really missed "watching" it with you. And congratulations on being the last temp left at the company. That has to tell you something, non? Oh, and whenever you can post the photos you took on Saturday with Moore, it would be great! I hope she wasn't hiding behind a Christmas tree this time, lol.
Oh, I forgot something that DID happen. Nick's ex (sort of) gf, the gal he was in Oz and SE Asia with, moved to BC and was with Nick Saturday and Sunday. She's enrolled in classes at U of Victoria and Nick told me he picked her up in Vancouver on Saturday. Hmm. She stopped by here just before Christmas to get some odds and ends she had left behind and I got the very strong impression that she had ideas about a reunion with my son. Hmmm.

No, there weren't any Christmas trees available, but I did hide behind Jolene! Shelly can't pick her up, so I did, and pretty much stuck her directly in front of me... I did that as a favor to everyone because Jolene is MUCH cuter to look at!
I just got back about an hour ago from Rockville. The doll tree had to be taken down, so I did a quick run up there, saw a few of the ladies, and came home in time to have a little lunch.
KaeEll, I'm sorry that you've been feeling so miserable. You should just climb into bed with a big mug of tea, and a good book. Tell everyone to leave you alone, and take the phone off the hook!! Brandon -- you too.

There was actually a picture taken by Jolene of Moore and it came out really well. I will upload them all tonight I promise. Still getting back into the swing of things and getting settled back into being home. Its tough when I left VA wearing barely a sweater and now I have to wear my heavy coats. Ugh.
Work is SO slow. I just found out that the company isn't allowed to spend any money and I guess they put lots of restrictions on things. Makes me happy that my contract was resigned. They keep telling me that its good until Dec. 31st but I will only need it until May. I feel kind of bad about one of the other girls that I worked with not getting extended because her husband is being sent to Cuba for 7 months. This will be their first huge separation and I am sure she could have used the distraction. She is from the Philippines so just going home isn't quite an option for her. Though she mentioned having her mom come here to help with her son. And keep her company. That would be nice.
Anyways, where is everyone? Kae how are you feeling? Brandon how about you? I still have the sniffles but thats it.
My voice is still not quite where it should be, very minor and infrequent coughs and some congestion around the ears. But I am mostly better, just got those remaining crap.

LOL!! That one actually came out Shelly?? Now I'm afraid...
When we first sat down at the table, Jolene grabbed the camera, aimed it somewhere in my direction, and snapped. I thought that it would end up being a giant sideways blurred nose, or something. Hahahaha.
I guess my lame attempt to hide behind Jolene has been foiled!

I'm still battling this damn cold and headache and sent Ted downtown again with my car so I wouldn't be tempted to run around on errands today. Every time I cough, my head bangs. I'm pretty sure that being so upset about the mess with my parents is what's causing this bug to get the better of me for so long. I decided last night to send flowers to cheer up my mother who is falling into a depression. Poor sweet thing is really confused and phone conversations are next to useless.
Shelly, I look forward to your downloads tonight. :)
That was very sweet of you to send your mother flowers, especially after everything you've been going through. I'm sure that your mother will love them, and they'll pick up her spirits right away. Good move, KaeEll... I don't doubt for one minute that all the stress is contributing to your nasty cold, and slowing your recovery. Do you use NyQuil? I love that stuff, and I do think it helps. It also forces you to rest...
I hope that both you and Brandon will be on the mend VERY soon.
Also -- very smart of you to send Ted off with the car.
