Just before the episode starts today, a very quick recap of the last two weeks for you, Shelly.
Gloria is in jail with Katherine and is buttering her up something fierce. Kay is beginning to regain her memory and Murphy is still very much in her life as a good friend. Jack's all alone and Sharon is turning obnoxious as she practically stalks Nick and Phyllis and Phyllis is wise to it, calls Brad who turns up right on time but Sharon rebuffs his efforts to get cosy with her. Adam's in jail. Victor's out and setting up shop with Ashley and a sorased Abby, his new "family" as he calls them to Victoria. Ashley is as smug as ever. ugh. Victor tells Ashley to let Jack take the helm at Jabot so she can keep an eye on him (and I really believe Victor has ulterior motives there) so she does just that. Meanwhile, Victor invites Jill to team up with him to regain control of Jabot. Oh, and Lily and Billy kiss, and it looked like they were going to make love right there in Billy's office, lol.
Today...
Yay!! Funny Jeff visits Gloria in jail and tells her that she's getting out today, and they will celebrate later with martinis in bed.
Mike asks Kevin what the heck happened last night when he found him and Jana hiding in the tack house closet. (They had stolen back the money from Eden's Teddy bear, the money Katherine left at CL, that Jana gave to Lowell who then stuffed it in the toy.)
Sharon visits Victor, all smiles as she learns that Victor wants Nick to stay on at NE. Phyllis pressures Nick to come back to the magazine, she needs him there, major crises all over the place.
Neil and his new bride, Karen, arrive at NE and learn of Victor's return. More chatter with Victor and Sharon as she tells him about the carousel she saw in the Tuilleries in Paris, how she thought about Cassie and worries about Noah, blah, blah. She tells him about her split with Jack and Victor's pleased, says she and Noah are better off without him.
Kay questions Gloria about why she's in jail, Gloria tells her it was for product tampering and maybe manslaughter. Kay's put off, almost leaves but Gloria jumps in and tells Kay that she believes she really IS Katherine Chancellor, and that brings Kay around. (Gloria really is working on the poor woman!)
Kevin fills in Mike on the money caper, does his best to justify taking the money. Mike advises him to think long and hard before making any more bad decisions but he won't turn him in on this. (Poor Mike - what a horrible family, lol.)
Mike questions Eden about the money in her teddy bear, kid lies at first but as Mike tells her the entire story of how Kevin took it back, she spills the whole truth. Mike's grateful to Lowell for bringing his little sister into his life, rotten as he was as a father.
Victor asks Sharon to go with Nick to NYC on some errand for NE, a business presentation. Phyllis isn't happy about that at all, even though it would only be a day trip. Uh oh. Phyllis makes a stink, nicely, but puts him on the spot, tearing him between NE and RS. He says it's unfair of her to make him choose without giving this a lot more thought.
Victor promises Neil that even though Victoria and Nick are back at NE, he will do something to keep Neil there as well, he can't lose him. Neil sort of harumphs.
Sharon calls out Noah on his lies about NYE and this has to do with THAT girl and it has to stop!
Heather snarks at Mike about first springing his father from jail and now his mother. Mike says "yeah, something like that".
Gloria prompts Kay's memories of jasmine tea, blueberry scones, Crimson Lights, Kay is excited!! She wishes Gloria good luck as the guard takes Gloria off to her arraignment.
Nick tells Phyllis he plans on staying at both RS and NE, wants to take this chance to make his father proud of him. Phyllis gives him a reality check about his father and doesn't want him to get his hopes up, doesn't want to see him disappointed all over again.
Kevin struggles with his conscience about "doing the right thing", runs out of CL in a mad dash as he remembers catching sight of Katherine in the jail.
Mike tells his mother that bail's been set at $350,000, says she must plead not guilty, but G is really disappointed that she won't be going right back to jail (to continue her bonding with Katherine). Mike's puzzled.
Eden calls Noah, needs to talk to him, big problem with the money and they'll meet right away at his dad's house. Noah lies to Phyllis at RS and takes off to meet Eden.
Neil and Karen discuss his dilemma at NE, says he told Victor he will not answer to Nick and Victoria.
As the judge sets the conditions for her bail, Gloria pipes up. lol.
Kevin visits Katherine in jail but she doesn't recognise him.
Kevin and Kay as he tells her that they spent lots of time together through work. Kay perks up when he tells her he's Gloria's son. Her memories come back in bits, puts together that she left her money in his shop. she called him, no he called her, or did he?
Gloria makes an issue about handing over her passport to the court because she could really do with a nice tropical vacation. Judge revokes bail, sends her back to jail. Jeff scowls and Mike is quite pissed off.
Victor tells Nick he was wrong about RS, that he DID make a success of it, that he is very proud of him, and agrees to allow Nick time for the magazine. He wants to have him and Victoria at his side there at NE. Smiles, good rapport between them.
Sharon strides into RS looking for Noah and snarks at Phyllis when she says Noah is doing school work at her place. Ugly exchange. (Oh ugh, I'm really starting to dislike Sharon!!)
Phyllis says to remember whose husband she's with in NYC. Sharon says she'll remember that. Phyllis says she wishes they had that agreement before she and Nick were swapping spit in Paris. Sharon smugly flounces out.

Jill tells Jack that if he decides to take more power at Jabot, her shares would be behind him. Jack looks quizzically at her, as in HUH?
Phyllis is thrilled that Daniel agrees to be on the cover of RS.
Kevin tells Murphy that he can use this money (in a paper bag on the table between them) to help Mrs. Chancellor and he would also be helping him.
Yes, they are changing Sharon into the bitchy one, that's for sure. Today she stormed into RS and Phyllis said, without looking up, that Nick wasn't there and Sharon said she was there looking for Noah, then tore strips off Phyllis for not respecting the way that SHE and Nick chose to raise their son. It was a real dig and very unnecessary.
On NYE, Sharon marched right over to Nick and Phyllis's table at GCAC and tried to insinuate herself into their evening together, at least from my POV. Phyllis recognised that Sharon was trying to cause a problem and circumvented it by calling Brad who rushed right over and spent the evening with Sharon in her suite upstairs (she moved out of the Abbott house).
As you know, I've never been in one camp or another when it comes to the switcheroo couples, and I've found it comfortable to like both women for different reasons. But now, Sharon seems to be working angles and I don't like it.
At the same time, I also get the feeling that old Victor is losing his mind again, lol. The way he's glommed onto Ashley and the way Ashley is so blindly eating it all up makes me wonder what the heck is really going on. I'm hoping that Victor is using Ashley to finish off Jack and keep his bed warm at the same time. Throw Abby into the mix for good measure, and he's got a slam-dunk replacement for Sabrina and their lost child. Any nitwit could figure out that this is all rebound, all but Ashley, that is, lol.
