Thank goodness for some sunshine! It's cold, though, minus 20 C with wind factor. brrr.
Anyway, much activity around here. Mike's in LA doing a little surfing out of Venice Beach before heading to NZ tonight. Nick ripped tendons in his left thumb and is in a splint, much pain but he's on the mend. He fell in powder. Tony and his little tribe are coming for hot chocolate at 2. Q had a great swimming lesson Friday and blew bubbles in the pool - a big deal, apparently. I can't wait to see the kids. It's been almost 2 weeks since I last had them breathing their little germs all over me. I've been recruited to baby sit several times in the coming weeks as d-i-l has decided to start swimming laps again to shed the holiday lard (all 7 pounds of it, lol). If only it were so easy for me.... *sigh*
What's on the agenda for today? Is the sun shining some winter cheer down your way too?
No sun here, just cold. It was about 40 yesterday and felt great but today's it's turned rather chilly again.
Nothing on the agenda but football and babysitting today. Jack's little friend is coming over around 5.
And I'm still nursing my just declawed and neutered kitty. For the most part he's fine, but he's attempted a few jumps off the counter, and he's making me nervous he's going to injure his little tootsies.
Well we had a not so sunny Sunday. Saturday night brought us a couple inches of snow followed by some sleet so everything Sunday morning was a mess. Icey stuff everywhere.
People in my family are just thrilled because of how far the Cards have come this year. I think most of us are still in some kind of shock. Hopefully they can pull off next weeks game. That would be amazing.
