Good morning! This is a good day for us here. Mike is in the air on his way back home from NZ and will arrive either very late tonight or very early tomorrow morning, depending upon his connection in LAX. He finally made the decision to finish off that damn degree at the U of T here instead of in NZ as he missed the qualifications for domestic student down there and would have had to pay $25,000 rather than $5,000 per year. That was a no brainer, lol. He made some kind of deal with the linguistics department here so that he'll enjoy the experience rather than have it take a nasty toll as it has done on so many of Mike's colleagues. The young lady from Auckland is apparently coming here in 3 weeks, armed with a 12 month work visa. That's the news of the day from me.
Jess, how did the hearing go? Any news yet? We're all pulling for you. Let us know what happened, okay?
Well my girl friend had her baby yesterday. Not a particularly long labor for a first child. She went to the hospital at about 2 and the little guy arrived at 10 in the morning. They named him Rad, which to me is extremely odd but her first name is Tricky so what can I expect. He was 8 pounds 12 ounces. Nice and healthy.
That is great news about Mike. I bet it will be nice to have him closer to home again. Will he be moving in or will he be living on his own? Either way, great that he will be near again. Especially since it seems like Tony is always stuck going out of town, will be good to have one who is closer.
Not much going on here, we get to go do the tour of the hospital tonight. Should be fun. And then another OB appointment tomorrow. Oh joy.
YAY!! Mike comes home...!!! A very happy day for you... Definitely a no-brainer with that tuition issue. Yikes.
Loose ends: Glad you decided to keep that mystery non-finial thingy. You know that one day you'd be looking for a piece to fit some broken something or other, and realize that the thingy is the missing part! At least that's the way MY life goes.
Jessica, let us know how everything went. We want you to get your babies back, and resolve your issues with Floyd, and move forward with your life, as soon as possible.
Our son is coming over for dinner tonight (he hasn't been able to lately), but I haven't decided what to make yet.
Saturday is AD's 21st birthday, and she's very excited about it. She was beginning to think that it would never arrive.
I drooled over Nathan Fillian on GMA this morning. I can't wait for his new series to start on Monday night!
That's all I know right now.

Moore, I wish I could send you over a pot of the massive crock pot of chicken curry I made yesterday morning for your dinner tonight. It was really yummy but not the kind of meal you want to keep on having until it's all finished. I asked Ted to pick up some large freezer bags for me so I can get the rest of it frozen for another time.
Shelly, Mike is moving in here for a bit, then he'll find his own place with Maya when she gets here. His Jay Spectre Band has another Canadian tour coming up later this month, so there's no point in him looking for a place until that's over. He's talked about looking in Hawkley Valley, about 45 minutes north and west of here, but he'll need a car AND who knows what the internet suppliers are like in the boonies. He doesn't want to be downtown anymore. Says the concrete jungle was stealing his soul, which I can sure relate to.
Congratulations to Tricky and Rad!! Those are different names, for sure. No mixing them up others, non?
And yeah, Moore, The day I finally throw out all those unmatched socks on the laundry room, somebody would dump a slew of socks in the basket, perfect match for the ones I just tossed in the bin.
Congratulations to your friend on the birth of her baby, Shelly! What good news. It's really nice to see some good news for everyone today. YAY. I didn't see your post until just now...
I'd love to have a potful of curried chicken, KaeEll. That's a favorite around here. Our son just emailed back, and his choice is spaghetti. It's not an exciting choice, but it's what the child wants, so that's what we'll have!
Sorry about the heartburn, Shelly. I remember that very well, and remember the sleeping sitting up part too.
