Ack. I'm back home for a few minutes in between the Friday backs and forths. My house is upside down with no mattress in the guest room, 2 major pieces of furniture gone from downstairs along with my downstairs dining room table, all of which I told Mike and Maya they could take to their new apartment. I was having a generous moment at the time. What was I thinking?
Nick got in very late and we sat up with him talking until 2 in the morning. He is now unemployed as Whistler has laid off every single seasonal employee.
Ted has just made tuna sandwiches (he is working from home today) so I'll go have a bit of lunch with him before taking off again. These are his very first tuna sandwiches EVER, lol.
I'm sorry about Nick's job. That sucks... Do you think he'll want to go back next season?
Jim loves tuna sandwiches, and makes them for his lunch almost every Saturday. He prefers to do it himself because he has his own "technique". Fine with me...
PS -- If you ever have any leftover fresh tuna from dinner the night before, it makes awesome tuna sandwiches!

Nick's only back here for 3 weeks. He's going back out west anyway, thinks he can cobble together something for himself out there. He's committed to staying until the Olympics thing is over, needs to get out of his older brothers' shadows, make something for himself on his own. :(
Thanks for the leftover tuna trick. We often just eat it cold, will try a sandwich with mayo.
I'm all finished now. Anybody watching OLTL today?
Well I got back from my 36 week check up today and it went well but the doctor doesn't seem to think that it will be much longer. We are already at 2cm dilated and I am feeling more uncomfortable by the minute. My mom isn't set to come until the 13th but I think we are going to change her schedule and have her come in Wednesday the 6th instead. So I need prayers that nothing happens until she gets here. My blood pressure was rather high but the doctor didn't seem concerned.
I just copied that from the email I sent to my church. I am so uncomfortable. The doctor did the internal exam (sorry Brandon) and said he didn't think it would be much longer. Also my blood pressure was rather high.
Shelly, I think it's a good idea to have your mom come a bit earlier. Just in case. You never know about these little babies; they do what they want to! If you're dilating, then it does sound like they want to make an appearance sooner rather than later. Also, if your blood pressure is high, your doctor may reach the point where he wants to induce.
KaeEll, I'm watching OLTL!
I can understand Nick's desire to do his own thing, although I know how tough this is on a mom. As the youngest, AZ-daughter wanted to be "different" by leaving the east coast, and we all miss her. It may be a way of saying to the older siblings, as well as to the parents, "see how independent and unique I am??" I don't know about Nick, but I do know that AZ-d watched her older brother and sister very carefully when she was growing up, just to see how things went with them, and also to see where and how they messed up. That birth order thing is very interesting...

Shelly, you had better get your mom here asap. It does sound like Angela and Grace are ready to greet the daylight pretty soon. I remember going to see my doctor the day Nick was born, expecting to attend a wedding that evening. The doc said if I were to go to the wedding, I'd be the centre of attention, and he was right. Even though Nick wasn't due for another 10 days, he was born at 8 p.m. that night, at the exact hour our friends said I do. Good luck and for heavens sake, tell Vinnie how to get on this board and let us know when the ladies arrive, okay?
Moore, Ditto here with our third son watching like a hawk. He's determined to be different and I have to hand it to him, he IS, lol. They all 3 are very different from one another.
Warm fuzzy thoughts for the you and the babies, Shelly!
Kae, that sucks about Nick's job. I'm sorry. However...I have to say I know where he's coming from wanting to get out of his brothers' shadows. Trying to make it on my own is the whole reason I moved out west. I'm sure I've given my mother nothing but grief, but I feel good about it. Moving, not giving her grief. LOL.
I'm playing hooky from work today. I talk to the manager last week, who approved my day of hooky.I'm enjoying just laying around not having to worry about what Jackson is getting into. This morning while I was showering, he thought he needed to get into my jewelry box, and all my earrings are tangled and all over the place. Hmmph.
Well, I won't tell Vinnie about the board but I have Kae's and Moore's and I believe Brandon's email so I will send an email from my phone and you guys can get on here and spread the word. I also get facebook from my phone so will post there
Just pray that they hold off til my mom gets here. Her flight arrives at 1130
