I gots me something new

So this past weekend we took my sister-in-law shopping for a laptop for school and we came down to the Macbook being the best option for her. Just simple, easy, efficient and reliable. We've been needing to replace our PC for awhile. I mean it's functional and all but it's only got a 1 GB of RAM and needs some upgrades.

But instead of going out and grabbing a PC with Vista, fighting with drivers, and all sorts of things, we choose to look into Macs.

We got our new IMac yesterday. It's last year's generation, so technically it's 6 months old. Got it for 1,000 where new versions are running 1,500. Along with it we were able to get IWorks Family Edition for 20 bucks less, 1 TB IOmega drive for moving our stuff to the Mac and then storage, and of course the extended warranty through Best Buy, and 18 month no interest financing.

Here's your basic specs, I've ordered 4 GB of RAM for 45 bucks and will be upgrading that shortly.

That all I said. PC sucks compared to Mac. I mean, I'm dead serious here. Not ONCE have I had to install any drivers, etc for any of my external devices like USB hubs, Bambo tablets, etc. It found my wireless network, I didn't have to set up a thing, just add password. Boom online.

And the remote.... let me say this. There is this kick ass remote and it brings up an application called Front Row. Helps with DVDs, etc but it has most of the latest trailers for all the new movies. Like there, boom streamed. I mean it's crazy. It's really really good and really really fast.

I know they're investments, but Mac is way worth it.

Bran, you will LOVE the Mac!! I never thought I would be such a die-hard convert when I got mine, but it happened, lol. Any time I have a problem, I just haul into the Apple Store and voila, they fix everything.

My husband LOVES his Mac, so I think you're going to be a happy camper. He also has a PC, and a PC at his office, but I think his heart is with the Mac...
