How do you feel about Susan Haskell's Marty? When we had the other actress playing the role, I though OMG, where the heck is Susan. Now, I'm thinking the other actress was better, lol. I've concluded that it's the character I can't stand.
Then again, there is that bloody rehash yet again of the KAD rape thing for heaven's sake. It's been what, almost 20 years? And I am hating the Powell reintroduction as a lunatic instead of a gentle messed up guy.
I really am trying to get back to watching the 2 ABC soaps I abandoned, but AMC has me far more interested than OLTL. I was actually thinking that the days of Paige and her son mystery were more exciting than watching the baby drama, that moron Gigi and the excessively hideous Stacy.
I think she's doing all right. The storyline she keeps finding herself in is the same. "Unwitting victim". I think that's not doing her any favors. Be nice if she wasn't always the victim.
I think the actor who is Powell is doing a good job. I don't know the history or his character but he's doing a good job in his role. Rebecca and her brother are annoying as hell though.
There's a lot to hate on OLTL right now. The baby drama is retarded. Didn't we just do this a few years back with Kelly Cramer and Bianca from AMC? Stacy is overly annoying and Gigi is a frickin' retard. But hey frickin' retards is what her actress is good at.

Yeah, I have decided that I don't love Marty as much as I thought I did. Maybe it was because when I loved her she was with Patrick and Patrick could make you like anyone.
And I am also sad that they made Powell a loony guy. I don't remember him that way at all, I rather remember him as the nice guy who got caught up. And all this remembering stuff is horrible without Roger.
You totally read my mind! I have come to realize that my problem is with Marty. I'm just so over her as a character. I get it. She was raped. I saw it. I really do think there needs to be more substance to a character than she was gang raped 20 years ago.
I'm HOPING that the rape story will go away now that she's gotten her memory back. There's no more purpose for it, now that it's resolved in her mind.
I've been liking Marty more lately than I did at first. I was really excited over Susan Haskell's return, and then they did that perfectly HORRIBLE storyline with Todd, and her memory loss. Because of the script, she's been a bit zombie-like. She's a fantastic actress, so the entire thing has been very restrictive for her, in my opinion.
Maybe it will start to get better. It might be interesting to see how Marty and Blair interact as grandmothers who share the same grandchild.
And can we please bring Roger Howarth back? I'll like it ALL a lot better if we can please just do that!

RH will always be Todd to me. I can't stand him as Paul over at ATWT. In my happy world, I actually think they should trade. IMO TSJ would be perfect as Paul.
