Not when I heard there was a christian conservative movement against Adam Lambert I wasn't. I normally hate AI, but we'll watch the finale just for the guest acts. Lambert was good, he'll end up doing something despite the loss.

I'd read that too, Bran, but I honestly expected him to win anyway. I had thought that as soon as Danny Gokey was out, his votes would go to the other all-American kid, Kris, but with all that hype about Lambert (who never captured my heart, to say the least) I figured that it was clinched.
There's no question that Adam will have a future because he really knows how to sing a song. He was our favorite, and Kris...well, he was okay, just as Danny was, but he sounded a little too boy band to us.
In a way, I wasn't too surprised that Kris won because it just seemed too easy. AI has had these kinds of upsets before, but earlier in the show. Some really good singers have been voted off, and their departures have really shocked the judges. I was a little bit afraid that people might become too complacent over Adam's likely victory.
