Yes we do, but it's November 11, Remembrance Day. We all wear felt poppies, have a minute silence at 11 a.m. It's not a celebration day, though. There are all kinds of solemn dedications here and there, the Queen speaks, Governor General gives an address, etc., and it's not a holiday except for federal government employees and banks.
We had our May long weekend last week, Victoria Day, to allegedly celebrate the Queen's birthday which happens to be in early April, still too cold outside to bother giving us pitiable sods over here the Monday off.
