Kevin and Ryder talk about being brothers while Ryder is in jail. Kevin thinks Ryder is "full of it".
deacon and Amber, on a sofa cuddling, but she is unhappy. He cajoles her with stories from their past and is beginning to get to her as she softens a little. They talk about sex and she gets the last laugh by saying they should wait until after they're married to have some.
Paul and JT talk about Patty and finding MJ. Paul goes up the stairs of GCAC just as MJ, blonde, closes her room door and breathes a sigh of relief that Paul didn't recognise her. (But he did, as Patty.)

Colleen and Victoria argue about the pictures, the NE board. Victoria is furious, asks if Colleen wants ehr husband and Colleen says "Yes I do".
Jana tells JT she'll put MJ's photo on the CL website.
Back to Ryder and Kevin as R continues his con to Kevin about being TT's son. He insists he is telling the truth. Kevin leaves, unconvinced and pissed off. (Yay Kevin.)
Deacon gives Amber a wad of cash for a wedding dress, she storms off to go shopping.
Deacon takes a call from Ryder, tells him not to screw up with Kevin. (Do the writers suddenly think all summer viewers have lost brain cells? This is as slow and tedious as the "other soaps", not Y&R-ish. Blech.)
Lily, Neil, Devon, Cane all sit around , doggie too, open a card from Roxy, glum Devon. GAWD, so depressing.
Kevin and Jana as Kevin expresses his doubts about Ryder's story. Jana is positive that Ryder is a liar, Kevin still has some doubts but says he HAS to find out about him being his brother or not.
Deacon visits Ryder to give him a pep talk about conning Kevin, encourages him to get Kevin to tell him about TT's last days in GC. Ryder says it would have been a lot easier if TT had told him where he HID THE PAINTING BEFORE HE DIED. (Finally, the safety deposit box key thing, non?)
Okay, so both Deacon and Ryder had known Tom in the past to run scams, including forged art works. (A revealing conversation, finally.)
Colleen reams Victoria for her treatment of JT. YAY, Colleen!!! GOOD scene. After V leaves she calls JT and tells him Victoria saw pics of them kissing. JT is sad, says he'll deal with it.
Crazy MJ opens a sharp knife, says she hopes Sharon will accept her invitation, just has to make a few points with Jack first. Knock on her door....maid service and as she talks to the maid, Paul spies her from around the corner.
Kevin wants Ryder to take a DNA test, Jana says no way will he agree and along comes Amber showing off her HUGE engagement ring.
Lily arrives at the hospital with her entourage. Mention of Drucilla.
Paul confronts the blonde, calls her Mary Jane, but just before he left a message for JT that the woman he's been following isn't Patty, its MJB with dyed hair and she's in room 855. He shoves her on the sofa after a screaming scuffle. They need to talk.
Victoria and JT argue about the photos and Colleen. He tries to talk, she yells. She screams at him, storms out.
JT visits Colleen, talk about the pics, how his marriage isn't at all solid. Colleen wants to know what the hell is the matter with Victoria, he says it's about how he stood up to her father.
Victoria visits Deacon, mad kissing!! (OMG, the deterioration of THAT character. What a shame to make her into a spoiled little brat.)
Kevin arrives at the jail with a lab tech for DNA, Ryder happily agrees to the test.
Paul yells at MJ, intimidates her, she admits she is his sister.
Jana tries to convince Amber not to go through with the wedding but Amber knows Deacon will ruin Daniel's life if she doesn't. Jana says stall, Amber knows she can't. She's doing this for Daniel's happiness, she dashes off. Jana calls Daniel, it's an emergency.
JT defends Victoria a bit to Colleen. He tells her that they can't spend time together any more as Victoria and Reid must come first and he leaves.
MJ/Patty again as she grabs the knife on Paul, explains how she had surgery so no one would recognise her. Poor Paul is in agony as he realises what his sister has done. Good Doug Davidson scene. He screams "Oh no, oh my God" in horror when the penny drops that it really is Patty.
Next:
Jack asks Ashley if she honestly thinks that he wants her to be in an institution. She snarls back "Yes I do".
Sharon to Phyllis, in the institution, if she came there to see her so she could gloat.
Adam to Ashley that he will NOT let that happen. She give hims a huge hug of gratitude and relief.
Gah, and I have always liked Victoria. I agree with you, what a brat.
And what do you think about Ryder? I think that perhaps he is Kevin's brother but that he doesn't care and is scamming him anyways.
Ryder readily agreed to the DNA test, so he probably is Kevin's brother, but you're right, it's incidental as Kevin is part of their plan to get the painting that Tom hid before his death. I think that's what this whole silly thing is all about.
BTW, I hate Deacon. I like the actor, but the character is too over the top evil for me. I prefer villains that have another side to them and Deacon seems too one-dimensional.
Wait until you see Paul's reaction to MJ as his sister. Really good scene. It made up for the gruesome Lily crap.
