Day Ahead November 2

Cain and Lily paw over the Halloween candy and yippity yap about nothing much until she confesses to missing their love-making (I think).

Lauren and Mike kiss and chat, talk about Victor leaving town. He's concerned he might not be able to get Victor out of the mess created by Billy's expose. Gloria calls Mike, he ignores her call. She wants him to help her and Jeff recoup all the money lost in the Caymans.

Glum Mac as Billy enters the bar (Jimmy's), pissed off more than usual. She sort of breaks up with him, says they aren't fine, doesn't know if they ever will be.

Snippy Abby to her mother, snotty because of her mother's break up with Victor. She flounces off to school.

Noah and Sharon commiserate about Billy's article and the impact it will have on him at school because of kids' comments. She tells Noah that she had company last night to hand out the candy.

Adam enters Nick's office at NE in response to his summons to him. Nick tells him to stay away from Sharon. (It's more like a warning in a way. Not friendly advice, that's for sure, lol.)

Adam stands up to Nick's threat about Sharon, claims that he would NEVER hurt Sharon. Nick is going to send Adam off on an extended business trip. Adam snarks. Smug Nick.

Mike joins Gloria and Jeff at CL, and at Gloria's urging, reluctantly agrees to somewhat help them in the Cayman business. Jeff sees it as a turn-down, but Gloria is convinced her son WILL help them.

Amber visits Lauren at her boutique and lands a job working there. Amber's excited!

Lily and Cain again. Kisses, knock on door, Neil, Roxy and Devon. Frustrated Lily and Cain, lol.

Mac and Billy as she reams him for writing that article. Enter Sharon, quits RS.

Abby and a gf join Noah and Eden. Abby does her shallow snotty routine specifically targeting Eden.

Ashley tells Nick she still has a seat on the NE board and he's going to be stuck with her.

The girl who plays Abby is horrible. I hope they replace her like they did with eden, that was a good move on their part. That and moving her back to the back burner, which I kind of think is where Abby should be.

Any bets on how long Nikki and Victor will be off screen...

Ashley wants to make a difference at NE out of respect for Colleen. Nick has big plans to make some meaningful changes there.

Oh, Abby's friend is Daisy. Amber tells her about an opening at Lauren's boutique and Daisy runs off, thrilled to have a possible job. (Daisy is on scholarship at Walnut Grove, needs a job for money. So far I quite like Daisy, although I have no idea why she would want to be friends with that supercilious twit, Abby.)

Sharon argues with Billy about the article, and the reason she can't work there is because of his attitude.

Lily and cane give Roxy and Devon the bum's rush and get rid of them so they can get back to love-making. (No Neil - I was mistaken.)

Daisy impresses Lauren and she gives her the job, tentatively based on Amber's recommendation.

Mike visits Nick about Victor's Cayman banking pull-out. He tells Nick the backlash will cost NE big time.

More Sharon and Adam together. He tells her about Nick's warning to stay away from her and to ensure that, Nick is sending him out of town. He says that's why he's there, to say goodbye.

I really dislike that Abby too. Horrible spoiled brat.

Victor and Nikki ought to be gone for a few weeks at least, non?

Mike and Nick discuss the Cayman fallout. Mike advises him to get loads of money ready to compensate those who lost everything, it's the only way. Nick's not happy.

Lauren confronts Billy about his article, pulls out all of her ads from RS.

Gird yourself for a Lily and Cain bed scene.

Daisy and Amber hug as Daisy just got word that she got the Fenmore job.

Aden and Noah rather enjoy watching Ashley haul lying Abby away for CL. (Abby told her mother she had to go to school, but there was no school. When Ashley figured out her daughter lied, she hot-footed it over to CL and dragged the kid home.)

Mike tells Gloria and Jeff that they may very well receive compensation for their Cayman losses. Happy chuckles from Glo and Jeff as they toast the man that made all this possible. Billy Abbott. Lauren is disgusted.

No break -up after all between Mac and Billy.

Nick mulls over being in his father's big chair, receives another huge congratulatory bouquet.

Adam and Sharon again. He hugs her when she says she'll miss him. (Is there something heating up with these two???)

Next:

Lily tells Neil that she and Cane renewed their vows.

A mumbled exchange between Jill and Kay.

Chance yells at his father (Philip) to get out, go and hide since that's what he's so good at. Chloe and Nina are there too.

I think they are going to try something yucky with Adam and Sharon. I hate this Adam so I don't care. I might like them if it was the other Adam.

Chris Engen really made the evil Adam palatable, lovable, even. This other guy, NOT.

Was it a bad recast, or was CE so endearing that nothing could hold a candle to it? Don't know, but it IS cringe-worthy, the possibility of this Adam portrayer and Sharon.

I wonder if CE would ever be approached to reprise his role. He might have burned some bridges quitting the way he did, but it's not unheard of. I wish...
