Cain and Lily in bed in the morning. They are very much back to "normal", if you can stand it, lol. ( Waaaay too gooey for me. And that music...ugh.)
Chloe tells Chance she told Billy to leave her alone after he kissed her last night. Chance sort of blows her off. (He's being super cautious.)
Katherine tells Jill she could have announced her return to Jabot without sticking her finger in Jack's eye. Neil comes along (at CE offices) and joins Jill and Kay.
Paul and Nina over coffee at CL discuss Billy's nasty article and how badly it affects his sister's image. Seems Patty is happy (nuts but happy) and Nina cringes. Dr. Peterson is mentioned (the Patty look-alike) and Jack runs into her at CL, chat up but not warm and fuzzy at all. (A round about entry into a love thing, non?)
KAy announces she is looking for some serious acquisitions, maybe take CE public. Jill opposes a bit, offers up her recommendations and Neil agrees. They will go public.
Devon and Roxy are back on track. They plan on going away for a 3 hour drive to a concert but he has to check on Lily first. He's suspicious of her getting rid of them so fast yesterday and Roxy sets him straight - they are on their honeymoon again. Devon winces.
Cain and Lily, all gooey make simple plans for the day. He loves her, she grins. (She sure is wearing TON of eye makeup with that bald head thing, non?)
Dr. Peterson reiterates to Jack that to help Patty, he needs to stay away from her. Jack's surprised to hear she is leaving town to return to her old practice and he tries to convince her to stick around, but nope.
Paul fills in Nina on how Nikki left town with Victor. Lots of chuckles and as Philip III comes along, Paul takes his leave, kisses goodbye, all friendly. Phil is going to stay around and try his best to get through to their son. She insists he go back to the house with her to look at some photos.
More Chloe and Chance as she expresses her disappointment in his reaction to her telling him about "growing a spine" with Billy. He gently refuses her invitation for a hang-out date.
Back to Jill, Kay and Neil as Kay shocks them with a generous offer. Jill asks her why she brought her in on this, Kay says she needs to earn her forgiveness. Kay talks about mortality and an empty place in her heart. Good scene. She mentions her daughter out there somewhere. Jill offers that she thought it was her. They grasp hands and smile warmly at each other. Nice.
Paul joins Dr. Peterson at GCAC dining room, tries to get her to stay on in GC. She promises that she won't let Patty fall through the cracks but she has to go home.
Neil runs into Devon and Roxy at CL, asks about Lily, snarks about Cane taking care of her. Meanwhile, Cane and Lily are at the old bookstore, all googley-eyed and in lurve.
Back to an awkward moment with Chance and Chloe. He tells her that he knows that she has never really let go of Billy. Frustrated, she doesn't want to lose him (Chance), leaves the room before it gets more uncomfortable.
Neil asks Devon what his plans are now that he has graduated. He wants to pursue music, save up for studio sessions. Neil offers to pay for the studio. Happy Devon.
Argh. Cane and Lily again.
As Paul leaves Dr. Peterson, she gets a call from a Dr. Lambert, flusters her, as she tells him she happens to be available.
Jack enters Kay's office as she and Jill continue their exchange about this multi-million dollar transaction. Jack wants something, it seems, and Kay picks up on it.
Jack says he's pulling the plug on lustre.com, Jill's brain child. It's a dead-end and Jill squawks a bit, ends up agreeing. Jack is suspicious of Jill's conciliatory attitude, wonders if he's being fired. Kay assures him that's not the case. But Jack knows there is something afoot at CE, he could see they were cooking something up when he arrived. Kay says nothing except that it's none of his business.
Neil visits Lily, yippity yap, kind of sickly cute. Neil winces as Cain and Lily turn on the goo, is sullen when she tells him they renewed their vows. Lily pleads for her father's blessing. He's very happy for her, hugs her, evil-eyes Cane.
Chance and Chloe are back at it over Billy and her attachment to him. She tries to explain that some people aren't cut and dried, are kind of messy, and as they become more heated in their discussion, enter Nina and Philip. Chance loses it and yells at his father to get out of there because that's what he always does. Nina's jaw drops. Good Chance!
Peterson meets with Dr. Lambert as he offers her a job at the Abbot family foundation there in town.
Jill meets with Paul, asks him to find Katherine's real daughter.
Next:
Dr. Peterson reams Jack for throwing his money around to buy whatever he wants. This time she is not for sale.
Paul tells Nina that he thinks Chloe likes Chance, not Billy.
Cane calls Neil - Lily has been admitted to the hospital. Neil asks what happened. (We can see Lily in a wheel chair getting covered up with blankets.)
Just watched it, I had forgotten that your day ahead didn't give me many promising things to look forward to. Honestly not sure I look forward to anything on this show.
Shelly, I was talking to my one other Y&R friend yesterday, my shopping expert pal, Janice. She used to watch "with" me all the time but has stopped altogether, mostly because of the grimness of the stories. Her particular peeve is Lily's cancer - NOT entertaining at all.
Both of us has stopped watching many TV shows on prime time that deal with guts and gore, sickness and gloom, as have many of us in this generation, and I suspect many of yours too. It could be why DWTS has become so incredibly popular. It IS entertaining. We can tune in and smile, cheer or boo, but with none of the wincing and leaving the room when eyeballs are gouged out, literally (as Ted was watching Criminal Minds last night, ugh).
I'm not saying that I'll give up altogether on Y&R but my commitment to seeing it has certainly dwindled. I caught Cane yesterday collapse into a puddle of tears as Lily was near death in the hospital. It was the first time I'd seen Daniel Goddard actually ACT rather well. But that story! Just no thank you. (Never mind that I find them nauseating anyway.)
Yesterday's show was filler. The only movement was Emily Peterson's decision to stay on in GC (duh). There was much yap about Katherine's real daughter too. THAT might be a good story if the writers don't inject some nasty sadness glitches in it.

There are a couple of primetime shows I wondered if you had tried yet. I watch Eastwick and find it fascinating. And The Good Wife. It is good too.
I agree completely about the Cane and Lily mess. I know that both actors are suppose to be good but I just don't care. I like the idea of Kay's daughter. Although I hope it doesn't turn out to be Nikki. That is just too soapy.
Shelly, at your recommendation, I've watched Medium and REALLY like it. The Good Wife comes on opposite that gruesome Criminal Minds so I've yet to tune in, but I think Ted is ready because last night's CM was GROSS. I'll try it next week. I'm not sure about the Eastwick thing - witches, yech, LOL. Is it funny at all? I need humour. :)
The Good Wife is good. It is a court drama. It doesn't show any of the gruesome detective stuff. The premise is her husband was the DA but was arrested for being corrupt and having an affair. She is good. And Eastwick is good too. The main 3 are witches but they don't know it yet. Its very good.
And I am glad you like Medium. I love it. I love that Patricia Arquette is normal and not supermodel pretty. Its good. Ghost Whisperer is good too but I tend to get freaked out more with that one.
