Too bad those worst and best lists weren't well enough written for me to want to finish reading them, but they did manage to cover (in the first few paragraphs) some of my gripes about Y&R this past year.

On my list of hideous things from 2009 are the chipmunk, Lily's illness, the baby switch, Adam's gay encounter of the briefest kind and Patty Williams, the nut-case that should never have been released in the first place. Daniel's art theft story would qualify with a half star of horrible, along with squalling Amber, and Ryder, the dolt from hell.

Shelly, should Sheila be revived and brought back, that would mean another hiatus from this soap for me. Maybe this time it would be permanent. Sometimes, enough is enough.

On the good side of it, I have enjoyed Chloe and Chance, Paul and Nina, and as always, Michael and Lauren.
