Happy St. Patrick's Day!

So, do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Do you wear green? I am not Irish except on St. Patrick's Day. I wear green, but do not go to any bars. Also, I type in green!

Belated Happy St. Patrick's Day! It was also our godson's birthday...

We don't really "celebrate", but I did wear a green shirt yesterday. By accident, actually! LOL... I'd forgotten momentarily that it was SPD, and just grabbed it. Later on, I realized.

Martha Stewart had a bunch of Irish cooks on her show yesterday, so I decided that I really ought to make something for dinner that would honor the day properly. I didn't make corned beef (takes three hours to cook, and I was getting a late start), so I just made a regular beef brisket, cabbage with onion and a little butter, and I added carrots and small potatoes (not fingerlings, but small) to the nearly-cooked brisket, and let them all finish cooking together in a brown gravy.

I have to say that it was yum...
