I'm just checking in briefly. We stayed an extra day, and landed last night a little after 7:30 pm. I can post more later (I didn't get up until 10:15 a.m., and am still going through phone messages, collecting laundry, and sucking down my coffee), but we had a WONDERFUL time. It went by much too fast, though.
In the meantime, I'm posting two pictures of our graduate, and when I have a chance to go through all the other collected photos, I'll post more. This one is of AZ-daughter standing in line, on her way to receive her degree. She's in the middle of the picture (next to one of the photographers), and is looking up into the stands at her brother, sister, and Loren, and is shrugging. LOL! In the second one, she's received her degree, and is on her way back to her seat. There's also a story about the stole that she's wearing, and I'll explain that too. ASU also offers a package of the professional photos taken, including "the moment", so we'll order those too. We were at the wrong angle to get a good picture of her being handed the degree (we could only see her back), and ASU's picture is really cute, so I'll post it as soon as I have it.
Here she is:

So now she's hunting for a job, and is feeling a little stressed about it! She's also feeling a bit of a let-down, and I think that it's because all the anticipation over the family trip and graduation is now in the past, and the party has ended. I have to say that she's always been a very independent person, and is very much looking forward to this new phase of her life, but is primarily afraid that the right job won't come as quickly as she wants it to, and that will keep her dependent on us for longer than she would like. Jim and I have no doubts, though, that she's going to find something sooner than she thinks. It's just a bit scary right now.
Her focus is on family couseling, but she's especially good with children, and she's also interested in working with veterans and their families. There's a branch of the Department of Veterans Affairs in Phoenix (she worked as an intern there last summer), so that's a possibility, and she would also be happy to work as a school counselor.
We'll see how it goes, and I'll keep you posted!
