My two daughter's requested Mom's presence this weekend, so I'm down here in NC. This time, I'm on lots of medication and have an inhaler with me, just in case my cat allergy kicks in again like it did in August. I had a severe and completely unexpected reaction to no-longer-AZ-daughter's two gorgeous cats in a way that I haven't experienced in decades. I had nothing except a little Sudafed and Benedryl tablets to combat the problem, but it wasn't enough. And it got a little scary there for a while! Now I'm prepared, and did okay last night.
However, I'm also staying at a hotel this time -- just in case -- that's located in between my two daughters. We'll see how this goes; AZ-daughter wants to have Thanksgiving down here this year, but it won't work if I can't breathe! So far, so good though...
I don't know the plans for today yet, so I'm just sipping coffee and waiting to hear.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. It's gorgeous where I am!

Hello, Moore - You wrote this three days a go, and I am finally coming here to respond. I hope your allergies aren't acting up. What city are you in in North Carolina? I have two daughters that live in Charlotte. Both are teachers. The science teacher daughter is also a Geologist.
I was in the Raleigh/Cary area. My medication helped me get through the allergy challenge, but I could tell that the medication was working overtime to accomplish that! LOL... At least I didn't have to use my inhaler.
My youngest daughter showed me around her workplace late Friday afternoon, and then we went to dinner. We also did a little shopping on Saturday at Pier 1 (bought my youngest a CUTE chair, a frilly apron, myself a jester nutcracker -- as though I needed more Christmas ornaments -- and my oldest daughter some decorative stuff for her house), and went to dinner again. My oldest daughter wasn't able to join us for either the shopping or the dinner, but did catch up with us for a little while at her sister's apartment. I left on Sunday morning. The three of us were supposed to go to brunch together, but I ended up meeting the girls at my oldest daughter's townhouse, and then sent them off to brunch together (Mom's treat), and I hit the road.
The hotel was brand new, and right in between my girls' two homes. Perfect! I would definitely stay there again.
