There's a big explosion at Metro Court. Toward the end of sweeps there are a lot of patients in GH's ER and someone pulls a gun. I guess you could call that a "hostage" storyline although it only lasts about 5 minutes(two shows tops). The BIG STORY is the explosion.
Patrick is not at the MC when it is taken over.
Robin is and she's critically wounded.
There is an explosion at MetroCourt. Quite a few people are there. They are rushed to ER . Toward the end of sweeps there is a two day segment (I think its two days) where someone goes crazy and pulls a gun on a doctor and insists that he save someone else who dies. So in that respect there IS a hostage crisis but that's not the end all be all of the sweeps storyline. Sweeps storyline is the explosion, the events leading to the explosion and what goes on in ER after the explosion.
Alexis and Sam will grow closer. One of her daughters will be in jeopardy. She'll have additional angst from her battle with cancer.
There's a purpose behind everything. Sam's bonding with Edward will play out in a big way when Alan dies. After that I think she will go back to working for ELQ but the current job change puts her at Metro Court and that puts her in the middle of Feb sweeps.
MORE ABOUT THE SWEEPS STORY
There's an explosion at Metro Court. Sweeps covers what leads up to the explosion, the explosion and hysteria in ER. Someone pulls a gun in ER and there's a brief "hostage" crisis but it doesn't last long. Its a recurring player. Another recurring player is on the verge of death and the person with the gun thinks the doctors need to be doing something. Jason talks the person down. Its a very limited part of the storyilne
Robin gets hurt in the explosion, as does Sam and several others. Sam will go back to working for Edward after sweeps.
Sam's injuries are not life-threatening.

MILO AND LULU
Its definitely under consideration. One of the events of sweeps impacts Milo directly and that expands his role considerably. They very much want to get Lulu in a romance, people like the chemistry between the two, its very much under consideration

SAMS STORY LINE
Its a Sam storyline, no doubt. They had her change jobs so she would first bond with Edward and be at the Metro Court. it wont be a coincidence she is working there this secret is sams nw story line she will end up working for ELQ after February. The "secret" is a storyline. It will cause angst for Jasam.

okay, i admit it.  i'm a huge sucker for GH's explosion sweeps lol.  i love the drama of it. 

i've read another spoiler that says robin is not at MC b/c she's in JAIL???  huh? 

i like this idea of them showing us the explosion & then showing us what happened by doing it in flashback/time real.
